바이오필릭디자인을 적용한 트라우마센터 공간계획에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Analysis of Programs and Space Organization in the Trauma Center)

초록

(연구배경 및 목적) 잦은 사고와 재해로 인해 외상 후 스트레스의 위험에 노출되어 있는 현시점에서 관련사고 희생자와 피해자의 가족, 현장 구조원까지 사회 전반에 걸쳐 그 피해가 확산되고 있다. 이러한 상황에서 재난 후 정신건강과 재난심리지원에 대한 사회적 관심이 높아지고 있는 추세이며 활발한 심리지원의 움직임을 일으키고 있다. 국가에서는 지금까지 재난으로 인한 사회적, 경제적 피해에 대해서는 다양한 각도의 사회적 지원과 대책 , 개입 등이 나오고 있는 반면 심리적, 정서적 피해에 대한 국가차원의 대책, 개입 등은 미흡한 상태로 보다 선진화된 추진 전략이 요구되는 실정이다. 더불어 피해자들이 안전하게 일상적인 생활로 복귀할 수 있도록 체계적인 관리 시스템과 통합적인 심리지원시설이 요구된다. 이에 발맞춰 해외에서는 재난피해자들의 피해를 줄이기 위한 ‘트라우마센터’를 설립하여 다양한 연구와 지원을 해오고 있다. (연구방법) 따라서 본 연구는 국내 시행 중인 일부 정신건강 트라우마센터와 정신건강복지나 서비스 정책 측면에서 보다 실효적으로 운영되는 국외 선진국들의 트라우마센터를 사례대상으로 지정하고 국외의 실정과 국내의 현황을 비교 분석하여 개선방안을 제시하는 것으로 연구를 진행하였다. 연구 조사방법으로는 국내, 외 트라우마센터에 대한 방문, 문헌조사를 진행하였으며 담당자에 대한 이메일 및 인터뷰 등 서면을 통한 조사방법으로 심층적 분석을 진행하였고 연감 및 문헌조사, 웹 조사 등을 통해 비교 분석하였다. (결과) 본 분석을 통한 제언은 다음과 같다. 해외 시설의 프로그램 분석결과 보호, 상담, 치료, 예방교육, 연구 등 다양한 프로그램이 진행되는 반면 우리나라는 구체적인 프로그램과 시스템이 미흡한 상황이다. 공간 구성에 대해서는 영역별 정서, 교육, 문화, 연구, 관리 지원으로 나누어 각 소요 실과 구성을 비교해 본 결과 국내의 경우 규모가 너무 협소하여 대부분의 실들이 다목적 성격을 갖고 있어 기존 공간에서는 다양하고 전문화된 치유 프로그램들을 수행하기에는 부족함이 있어 보다 전문적인 공간 구성이 요구된다. (결론) 본 연구는 국내외 트라우마센터의 운영 형식 및 소요 공간 구성 프로그램을 살펴보고 국내의 현황을 파악하고 문제점을 도출하여 운영형식 및 소요 공간 구성 프로그램에 있어 합리적인 제안을 하고자 하였다. 또한 바이오필릭 디자인의 치유 환경적 특성요소를 접목시켜 효과적이고 합리적인 공간 구성에 기초적 데이터를 제시하는데 본 연구의 의의를 두고자 한다.

영어초록

(Background and Purpose) Due to frequent accidents and disasters, the experience of posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is becoming increasingly prevalent among not only victims but also victims’ families and rescue workers. Therefore, society’s interest in caring for people’s mental health and providing psychological support in the event of a disaster is increasing, and it is resulting in a movement for providing active psychological support. Thus far, the government has been promoting social support, counter measures, and interventions to address the social and economic impact of disasters. However, government measures and interventions that address the psychological and emotional impact are limited, and such measures and interventions also need to become more advanced. Moreover, to enable victims to safely return to their daily lives, there must be systematic management systems and holistic psychological support facilities. Accordingly, trauma centers have been established overseas to reduce a disasters impact upon victims and to carry out a variety of research and support. (Method) Therefore, in this study, we identified libraries for the visually handicapped in Korea and abroad in developed countries, which are relatively advanced in terms of providing welfare for the disabled and in implementing policies for their care. These libraries served as examples of the actual circumstances abroad and in Korea. Then, we compared and analyzed the data and presented remedial measures. (Results)Our suggestions based upon this analysis are as follows. Based upon our analysis, we conclude that while various programs related to protection, counseling, treatment, preventive education, and research are conducted in overseas facilities, such practical programs and systems are inadequate in Korea. Furthermore, domestic facilities have limited space and thus cannot accommodate separate spaces for various kinds of support - emotional, educational, cultural, research, and management support. Since most of the rooms were used for multiple purposes, certain space configurations were necessarily made, but nonetheless there was insufficient space to carry out diverse professional healing programs. (Conclusions)The purpose of this study is to compare the operational procedures and space configurations made for various support programs in domestic and overseas trauma centers, understand the current status, and pinpoint problems in order to provide reasonable suggestions. An additional intention of this study is to present basic data concerning effective space configurations that consider the healing effect of biophilic design.
