고창 부곡리고인돌의 분포 특성과 북두칠성 (Distribution characteristics of dolmens in Bugokri, Gochang and the Big Dipper)

초록

본 연구는 고창 부곡리고인돌의 배치 특성을 고인돌 사회의 삶과 사상적 기반인 북두칠성과 별자리 관계로 해석하였다. 고창 부곡리고인돌은 시루봉을중심으로 고인돌과 고인돌군들이 북두칠성의 모습으로 배치되었고, 시루봉 정상과 북두칠성의 고인돌을 북극성과 일치시켰다. 이는 별들의 규칙성을 발견하여 하나의 별자리로 묶어 지상에 북두칠성과 같은 별자리로 천문화한 선사인들의 삶이자 성수신앙의 흔적이었다.
부곡리고인돌을 별자리로 확인된 고인돌의 바위구멍과 천상열차분야지도및 태양수일성도 등과 비교 분석하였다. 그 결과 고인돌시대 고창사람들의 천문관측은 삶의 공간을 중심으로 거대한 하늘의 세계를 땅에 표현하였다. 부곡리고인돌의 배치는 고도의 천체 기록물이자 천체에 대한 집단적인 이해와 해석의 산물로 북두칠성과 별자리의 모습이었다. 이는 보편적인 천문지식을 인간의 삶과 이어준 최고의 자연과학과 인문학이 융복합한 흔적이었다.
또한 기존의 “고인돌은 무덤이다”라는 고인돌 연구의 한계를 넘어 고인돌을바라보는 다양한 시각이 필요하다는 것을 보여주는 사례이다. 한편, 고창 부곡리고인돌은 선사인들의 별자리 기록으로 단순히 덮개돌에 새긴 것뿐만 아니라고인돌의 군집과 군집들을 하나의 별자리로 표현한 다층구조를 보여준 고대의신비스런 유적이다.

영어초록

This study interpreted the arrangement characteristics of the dolmens in Bugok-ri, Gochang as the relationship between the Big Dipper and the constellation, which is the life and ideological basis of the dolmen society.
In Gochang Bugok-ri dolmens, dolmens and groups of dolmens were arranged in the shape of the Big Dipper around Sirubong, and the top of Shirubong and the dolmens of the Big Dipper were aligned with the Polaris.
This was the life of the prehistoric people who discovered the regularity of the stars and grouped them into one constellation and astronomicalized it as a constellation like the Big Dipper on the earth, and it was a trace of their Constellation faith.
Bugok-ri dolmens were compared and analyzed with the rock holes of the dolmens identified as constellations, Cheonsang-Yeolcha-Bunyajido(Korea’s first astronomical chart) and the Taeyangsu-Ilseongdo(ancient astronomical map of china). As a result, the astronomical observations of the people of Gochang in the dolmen era expressed the huge world of the sky on the earth, centering on the space of life. The arrangement of the Bugok-ri dolmens was a high-level astronomical record and a product of collective understanding and interpretation of the celestial bodies.
This was a trace of the fusion of the best natural science and humanities, which connected universal astronomical knowledge with human life. It is also an example that shows that various perspectives on dolmens are needed beyond the limits of the existing research on dolmens, “dolmens are graves.” On the other hand, Gochang Bugok-ri dolmen is an ancient and mysterious ruins that not only recorded the constellations of prehistoric people, but also showed a multi-layered structure in which clusters and clusters of dolmens were expressed as a single constellation.
