湖西地域松菊里型墳墓의地域性硏究 (A Study on the Spatiality of Songgukri-Type Burials in the Hoseo Region)

초록

호서지역 특히, 금강 중·하류역은 송국리 물질문화의 발생과 파급이라는 문제와 관련하여 핵심적으로 다루어진 지역이다. 그 중 송국리형 분묘는 송국리 문질문화의 중요한 요소임에도 불구하고 지역권 설정에서 적극적으로 반영되지 않았다. 따라서 그 기초적인 작업으로서 호서지역 송국리형 분묘의 지역성을 파악하고자 한다.
대상유적은 85개소로 석관묘 303기, (석개)토광묘 89기, 옹관묘73기로 총 465기이다. 각 유적별 묘제의 조합, 그리고 각 묘제의 주요 속성 각각의 분포와 점유표면분석을 통해 밀도를 살펴보았고, 수계별 분포를 비교하여 지역권을 설정하였다.
그 결과 A∼G의 7개 지역군으로 나눌 수 있었으며 A지역은 다시A-1과 A-2지역으로 나눌 수 있었다. 각 지역은 행정구역으로 A-1 은 서천·보령, A-2는 공주·부여·논산, B는 공주 동부 및 대전, C는 청주, 청원 남부, D는 삽교천유역으로 예산, 천안·아산, E는보은, F는 옥천 및 금산, G는 증평·음성에 해당한다. A지역권은 유구의 밀집도와 형식의 주요 속성이 가장 다양하게 관찰 된다는 점에서 공통점이 있지만 A-1과 A-2지역은 A-1지역이 석관묘의 비율이86.3%로 월등이 우세하고, A-2지역에서는 다른 지역에서 관찰되지않는 석관묘와 (석개)토광묘의 토기바닥과 斜置/土蓋옹관이 발견된다는 점에서 큰 차이가 있다. 반면 A지역권 외의 지역에서 밀집도나형식속성의 단순한 조합으로 관찰되는 점은 외곽지역으로 갈수록 문화 특질이 줄어드는 주변문화적 성격을 가지기 때문인 것으로 보이며, 이를 다시 전기유형의 분포와 함께 관찰하였을 때 역삼동유형이발달하였던 지역과 가락동유형이 발달하였던 지역에서 송국리형 분묘 양상을 포함한 송국리 물질문화 요소의 강도가 다르게 관찰되는것으로 보아 각 지역에서 각 형식 요소에 대한 수용 양상이 달랐으며 이는 다양한 경로로 전파되고 소멸하였던 것으로 보인다.

영어초록

Hoseo region, particularly downstream in Geum River, is the salient area where many researchers have conducted the generation and propagation of Songgukri material culture.
However, despite this popular interest, Songgukri type burial-which is a significant cultural element of Songgukri-has been excluded from its regional establishment.
For this reason, this research aims to examine the spatiality of Songgukri-ype tombs by observing 85 sites with 465 ruins in total, including 303 tones cist tombs, 89 stone-cover pit tombs, and 73 jar-coffin tombs.
For the purpose of this research, this study examines and compares the large and middle regional districts by watershed system. This research brings analysis of three important aspects of the density of the tombs: 1) the burial systems in each remains, 2) the major attributes of tombs and the distribution of tombs and last but not least, 3) analysis of occupational surfaces.
As a result, the Hoseo area is divided into 7 regions (A to G), where Region A is divided into A-1 and A-1 for further analysis. Each regions belong in an administrative region; Region A-1 in Seocheon, Boryeong; A-2 in Gongju, Buyeo, Nonsan; B in the eastern Gongju and Daejeon; C in Cheongju and the southern Cheongwon; D in Yesan, Cheonan, Asan in the Sapgyocheon basin; E in Boeun; F in Okcheon and Geumsan; G in Jeoungpyeong and Eumseong.
It is important to note that region A-1 and A-2 have common grounds, in that both contain the most various formal attributes of burials with high density levels. However, in Region A-1, stone cist tombs account for 86.3% of tombs, whereas Region A-2 contains a specific form of stone cist tombs made of pottery bottom of (stone-cover) pit tombs that are laid jar-coffin with soil top.
An additional comprehensive research is needed regarding the relationship between social and economical development in Yeoksam-dong type and Garak-dong type area of the Middle Bronze Age and its burial types.
Furthermore, it is reconfirmed that Region A-2 is the core area of the Songgukri type burials in Hoseo region by comparing to the other research which deals with the overall Songgukri spatiality. Although various differences are evident in the division of its outskirt areas, this research shows that the spatiality of the whole Songgukri-culture should be rearranged through studies that focus on the combination of intensity, or the distribution of cultural elements.
