완주 상운리 고분군 정비와 활용방안 연구 (Research on the maintenance and utilization of Sangun Ancient Tombs in Sangun-ri, Wanju-gun)

초록

완주 상운리 고분군을 중심으로 주변의 다양한 유적의 분포는 이 지역이 만경강유역 마한 정치체의 존재를 역사적 실체로 드러내어 준다. 완주 상운리 고분군에서 확인되는 분구묘의 크기와 부장품의 종류 등 여러 정황들은 피장자들이 원삼국~삼국시대 만경강유역의 지배계층임을 가리켜주고 있고, 당시 지배층의 위세품부터 내세관과 매장의례 등을 가늠할 수 있기에 원삼국~삼국시대 사회를 함축하여 상징적으로 보여주는 대표유적으로서 의미가 있다. 또한 분구묘의 축조 기법과 다종다양한 유물은 전라북도의 원삼국~삼국시대 지역적 특성을 보여주며, 타 지역과 구별되는 차별성을 대변하기도 한다. 이 때문에 다양한 학술적 성과들을 거두기도 하였다. 그러나 조사가 이루어진 지 대략 20년이 지난 현재 발굴조사가 이루어진 지역에 공원이 세워진 것 외에는 더 이상 진행된 사항이 없었다. 그간 상운리 고분군과 관련된 각종 학술논문과 학술대회, 전시회 등 다양한활동들이 활발하게 이루어진 것과 대조된다. 게다가 수많은 학술성과 중에서도 유적 현장에 대한 정비와 활용을 주제로 이루어진 사례가 단 한건도 없었다는 점은 지역적 차원에서 시급히 상운리 고분군의 정비와 활용방안의 검토 필요성에 대한 당위성을 갖게 하였다. 본고에서는 완주 상운리 고분군의 특징과 성격을 살펴서 유적의 우수성과 차별성 등을 도출하고, 이를 기반으로 유적의 정비 및 활용의 기본방향 설정과 실천적 방안에 대해 제시하였다. 먼저 완주 상운리 고분군의 정비와 활용은 수장급 분묘라는 유적의역사성과 특수성을 토대로 이에 해당하는 지역을 권역화하고, 유적이 위치한 공간에서는 유적의 원형을 복원하는 정비가 이루어지는 한편, 주변지역에서는 유적의 경관을 고려한 규모와 디자인이 반영된 각종 시설들을배치하여 유적 고유의 가치와 의미가 느껴질 수 있도록 과거와 현재가 조화로운 공간을 구성한 뒤, 지역주민들이 적극 참여하는 일상관리와 참여프로그램들의 장이 되도록 방향을 잡았다. 이에 정비방안으로는 장기적으로 고고학적 매장문화재조사의 진행과더불어 라이다분석, 토양분석 등의 자연과학적 분석기법을 활용하여 유적의 범위와 고분의 축조방식 및 크기 등을 전략적으로 접근해야 한다. 또한 기존 유적공원의 확장과 유적의 역사적 가치를 보여줄 수 있는 기념관 등의 시설 조성이 필요하다. 이와 같은 정비를 진행하는 동안 발굴조사가 이루어지는 동안 살아 있는 현장을 볼 수 있는 프로그램을 운영하고, 지역주민의 참여를 독려하기 위해 일상관리와 지역 대표축제의 공간으로 만드는 등의 활용방안을 제시하였다.
완주 상운리 고분군은 지역의 대표 역사자원으로 손 꼽을 수 있는 가치와 의미를 가지고 있다. 이에 보다 구체적인 방안과 계획이 논의되면좋겠으나 본고에서는 초보적이나마 현재 유적 상태를 염두한 상태에서 필요한 정비 및 활용방안을 구상해보았다. 이러한 시도가 초석이 되어 향후유적의 정비와 활용에 대한 구체적이고 심도 있는 논의가 계속되어 완성도를 높여갔으면 하는 바람이다.

영어초록

The distribution of various ruins around the tombs in Sangun-ri, Wanju reveals the existence of the Mahan political body in the Mangyeong River Basin as a historical reality. Various circumstances, such as the size of the tombs and the types of burial items found in the tombs in Sangun-ri, Wanju, indicate that the buried people were the ruling class in the Mangyeong River basin from the Proto Three Kingdoms to the Three Kingdoms period. It is meaningful as a representative relic that symbolically shows the society of the Three Kingdoms period. In addition, the construction techniques and various relics of the tombs show the regional characteristics of Jeollabuk-do from the Proto-Three Kingdoms to the Three Kingdoms period, and also represent the distinctiveness that distinguishes them from other regions. As a result, various academic achievements have been achieved. However, approximately 20 years have passed since the investigation, and no further progress has been made except that a park has been established in the area where the excavation was conducted. This contrasts with the active activities of various academic papers, academic conferences, and exhibitions related to the Sangun-ri Tombs. In addition, the fact that, among numerous academic achievements, there was not a single case of the maintenance and utilization of the site of the ruins, the necessity of reviewing the maintenance and utilization of the tombs in Sangun-ri was urgently justified at the regional level. In this paper, by examining the characteristics and characteristics of the tombs in Sangun-ri, Wanju, the excellence and differentiation of the remains were derived, and based on this, the basic direction for the maintenance and utilization of the remains and practical measures were presented. First, the maintenance and utilization of the ancient tombs in Sangun-ri, Wanju, is based on the historicity and specificity of the chieftain's tomb, the corresponding area is regionalized, and the space where the remains are located is maintained to restore the original form, while in the surrounding areas, the landscape of the remains is considered. After arranging various facilities reflecting the scale and design to create a space that harmonizes the past and present so that the unique value and meaning of the ruins can be felt, the direction was set to become a venue for daily management and participation programs in which local residents actively participate. Therefore, as a maintenance plan, it is necessary to strategically approach the scope of the ruins, the construction method and size of the tombs, etc. by using natural scientific analysis techniques such as lidar analysis and soil analysis along with the progress of archaeological buried cultural property investigation in the long term. In addition, it is necessary to expand the existing heritage park and create facilities such as a memorial that can show the historical value of the ruins. During such maintenance, a program was operated to see the live site during excavation and the use of the program was suggested to encourage the participation of local residents, such as making it a space for daily management and local representative festivals. The ancient tombs in Sangun-ri, Wanju have value and meaning that can be counted as representative historical resources of the region. It would be good if more specific measures and plans could be discussed, but in this paper, the necessary maintenance and utilization measures were conceived with the current state of the ruins in mind. It is hoped that such an attempt will serve as a cornerstone, and that detailed and in-depth discussions on the maintenance and utilization of the ruins in the future will continue to improve the degree of completeness.
