초록

장-클로드·르그랑(Jean-Claude·legrand)은 벨기에 현대 도예가이자 IAC 국제 도예 협회 회원이다. 그의 작품은 대부분 기하학적 추상 도자 조각으로 풍부한 형식적 표현과 공간적 치환을 보여준다. 또한 현대미술의 많은 미술학파의 영향을 받았으며, 건축미술, 추상회화, 추상조각, 대지 미술 등 다양한 예술적 요소를 통합하고 있다. 작업은 공간 구조, 형식적 구성, 물질적 표현, 내적 의미의 측면에서 해체 이론과 해체건축과의 내적 연관성을 반영하고 있다.
해체주의는 현대 예술 발전에 영향을 미치는 중요한 철학 사상이다. 해체는 특정한 미적 특징, 명확한 담론 체계, 표준적인 운영 코드가 아닌, 무엇보다 작가 자신의 관점과 비평, 반성, 전복, 재구성, 변형, 화해의 정신을 작품에 담는다. 예술 실천에서 해체 이론의 주요 형태는 분해와 재구성, 왜곡과 변형, 불안정화, 분산화, 범위 분해 등을 포함한다. 기존 질서를 고수하지 않는 공존하는 창조적 사고. 이러한 특징은 해체주의 건축에서 크게 나타나는데, 그중에서도 건축가 피터 아이젠만의 작품과 이론이 대표적이다. 그로 인해 피터 아이젠만의 작품과 많은 연결고리가 르그랑의 해체적 특성을 입증하는 열쇠가 됐다.
본 논문은 이론적 토대로서 해체주의와 피터 아이젠만의 건축 작품 및 이론에 초점을 맞출 것이다. 르그랑의 예술적 경력과 배경을 요약하고 그 작품의 형식적 특징과 창의적 관점이 갖는 해체적 특징을 각각 4가지 측면인 ‘기하학적 구조 분해 및 재구성’, ‘작품 바닥의 투조 및 경사’, ‘그리드 도형의 분리 및 중첩’, ‘텍스트의 차연’에 대해 서술하였다.
해체주의 사조 속에서 성장한 유럽의 도예가로서 그의 작품은 시대적 특수성과 사상의 깊이를 반영하였다. 그러나 그를 주목하는 사람은 많지만, 관련 연구는 많지 않다. 따라서 그에 관한 구체적인 연구는 여전히 많은 공간과 가치를 가지고 있다. 본 논문의 목적은 그의 작품이 해체주의 건축과 유사한 해체적 특성이 있음을 입증함으로써 작품을 통해 해체적 예술사상을 드러내는 것이다. 본 논문을 통해 건축과 철학의 분야를 아우르는 연구 시각을 얻고, 그의 예술적 경력에 대한 대략적인 이해를 얻을 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.

영어초록

Jean-Claude·Legrand is a Belgian contemporary potter and a member of the IAC International Pottery Society. Most of his works are geometric abstract ceramic sculptures, showing rich formal expression and spatial substitution. It is also influenced by many art schools of modern art, and integrates various artistic elements such as architectural art, abstract painting, abstract sculpture, and earth art. The work reflects the internal connection between Deconstruction philosophical theory and Deconstruction architecture in terms of spatial structure, formal composition, material expression, and internal meaning.
Deconstructivism is an important philosophical idea that influences the development of modern art. Deconstruction is not a specific aesthetic feature, a clear discourse system, or a standard operating code, but above all, the artist's own perspective and the spirit of criticism, reflection, subversion, reconstruction, transformation, and reconciliation. The main forms of deconstructive theory in art practice include decomposition and reconstruction, distortion and deformation, instability, decentralization, and scale decomposition. Coexistent creative thinking that does not adhere to the existing order. This characteristic appears largely in deconstructive architecture, among which the work and theory of architect Peter Eisenman are representative. As a result, many references to Peter Eisenman's work were key to proving Legrand's deconstructive character.
This paper will focus on Deconstructivism and Peter Eisenman's architectural works and theories as a theoretical foundation. It roughly summarizes Legrand's artistic career and background and describes the formal characteristics of the work and the ｄeconstructive characteristics of the creative perspective in four aspect descriptions: 'Geometric Structural Decomposition and Reconstruction', 'The Tide and Slope of the Work Floor', 'The Separation and Overlapping of Grid Figures', and 'The Differential of Text'.
As a European potter who grew up in the deconstructive trend, his work reflected the specificity of the times and the depth of ideas. However, while many people pay attention to him, there are not many related studies. Therefore, specific research on it still has a lot of space and value. The purpose of this paper is to reveal the deconstructive artistic idea through his work by proving that his work has deconstructive characteristics similar to deconstructionist architecture. Through this paper, readers are expected to gain a research perspective that encompasses the fields of architecture and philosophy, and a rough understanding of his artistic career.
