18세기 중·후반 가집 특성의 일국면-『永言類抄』, 『解我愁』를 대상으로- (An aspect of Gagib characteristic in the late of 18th century)

초록

본고는 아직까지 정체가 확실히 규명되지 않은 두 가집, 『永言類抄』(이하 『영류』)와 『解我愁(1761)』의 작품 배열 원리에 주목하여 그 문헌적 특성을 밝히고 시대적 의미를 살펴보았다. 18세기 가집을 연구하는 시각이 주요 가집들 위주였던 점에 대한 반성적 고찰로써 이루어진 기존의 연구 성과들에 착안하여 군소 가집들의 정체 규명과 문학사적 재조명을 시도한 것이다. 그 결과 작가 정보나 서·발 등과 같은 관련 기록의 부재로 인해 기존에 관심의 대상이 되지 못했던 두 가집에서 공통적으로 악곡별 분류나 연상의 원리 등과 같은 내적 질서를 발견할 수 있었다. 특히 두 가집 모두 ‘數大葉’ 항목에서는 상당히 뚜렷한 양상의 연상 원리가 발견됨으로써 당대의 가창 문화가 적극적으로 반영되어 있음이 확인되었다. 또한 『영류』의 경우 ‘抄’의 원리를 통한 작가 의식을 확인할 수 있었으며 『해아수』에서는 작가 표기를 통한 작품들의 군집 현상뿐만 아니라 연상의 원리가 『영류』에 비해 더욱 두드러짐이 확인됨으로써 가집들 나름의 개별적 특성도 발견할 수 있었다. 이처럼 두 가집은 『청진』 편찬 이후, 가창 문화의 확산이라는 시대적 분위기와 더불어 작품들의 배열 원리나 특성이 역동적으로 변모해 가던 18세기 중·후반의 양상을 보여준다는 점에서 문학사적 의의가 크다고 볼 수 있다. 이러한 시각과 논의들이 축적되면 18세기와 19세기의 점이 지대에 해당하는 가집들의 특성이 보다 입체적으로 조망될 수 있을 것이다.

영어초록

This study examined the literary features and historical meanings of two songbooks, Yeongeollyucho(hereinafter referred to as Yeongryu) and Haeasu(1761), whose identities have not been clearly investigated, with the focus on the arrangement principles of the two songbooks. As a movement to reflect on an approach to research on 18th century songbooks which had focused on the representative songbooks of the 18th, the study attempted to identify little known books and reillustrate them in terms of literature based on the results of previous studies. As a result, it was found that the two songbooks, which had failed to attract attention due to a lack of information on the authors and related records such as Seo and Bal, have common internal order like categorization by musical piece and the principle of association. Especially, the two songbooks show the significantly distinctive principle of association in the item of 'Sakdaeyeop,' indicating that the two songbooks aggressively reflects the singing culture of those times. In addition, Yeongryu displays the consciousness of the author through the principle of 'extraction,' and Haeasu shows grouping works by author and the principle of association more distinctively than Yeongryu, indicating that songbooks have their own individual characteristics. Likewise, the two songbooks are significant in terms of literature because after the publication of Cheongjin, they show the trend of the middle and late 18th century when the arrangement principle and features of works were changing dynamically along with the atmosphere of those times characterized by the expansion of singing culture. When these views and discussions are accumulated, the features of songbooks published between the 18th and 19th century will be viewed from more various perspectives.
