「廣寒樓記」 評批 분석(1) -小广主人의 序文과 讀法- (Analysis of the Critical Commentary of Gwanghanru-gi -Soeom-juin's Preface and Reading-)

초록

Gwanghanru-gi廣寒樓記 is an adaptation in classical Chinese from Chunhyang-jeon, Korean classical novel, written by Susan水山 in the mid of 19th century. This work was noted in that it had a critical commentary評批, which was a unique way of criticism in the Middle ages of East Asia. As the main critic of Gwanghanru-gi is Soeom-juin小广主人, I analyzed Soeom-juin's preface and way of reading in the critical commentary of Gwanghanru-gi.
After I analyzed Soeom-juin's preface, I could not help recognizing that Soeom-juin had a poor understanding about Hsihsiang-chi西廂記 and the drama or the novel in China. Though Soeom-juin asserted that Gwanghanru-gi was superior to Hsihsiang-chi, he had no ability of comparing Gwanghanru-gi with Hsihsiang-chi because he read not Hsihsiang-chi but Yingying-zhuan鶯鶯傳, which was a basis of Hsihsiang-chi. Meanwhile, most of Soeom-juin's way of reading was the imitation or variation of Jin Shengtan金聖嘆's critical commentary on Hsihsiang-chi.
Therefore I concluded that Soeom-juin's critical commentary, as far as about preface and reading, was built on the superficial view with a lack of profound understanding about Hsihsiang-chi and Jin Shengtan's criticism.
