초록

본 연구의 목적은 수사학적 연구방법을 통하여 루쉰(鲁迅, 1881∼1936)의 연설 “今春的两种感想”을 분석하는 것이다. 이러한 분석을 통하여 그가 청중에게 어떠한 방법으로 그의 정신을 주장하고 있으며 청중을 설득하고 있는지 살펴보고자 한다.
루쉰은 중국 현대 문학의 아버지이며, 위대한 교육자이자 혁명가, 사상가이다. 그는 연설을 통해서 청년들에게 자신의 사상과 생각을 펼쳤고 그들에게 큰 영향을 주었다. 연설은 격변의 시대를 살아가는 루쉰이 청중과 만나는 또 하나의 중요한 언로(言路)가 되었다. 그는 중국인이 잃어버린 생명력을 회복하고 삶의 주체적 지위를 획득하도록 하는 것이 무엇보다 시급하다고 생각하였다. 그의 사상의 근간은 “사람”에 있으며 “사람 세우기(입인: 立人)”라는 휴머니즘이다. 그가 말하는 “사람 세우기”란 중국인 개개인이 자아의 주체가 되어 존엄성을 획득하는 것으로, 중국인에게 부족한 “성실함”을 갖추는 것이며, 현실을 “정시”하는 것이다. 그는 중국인 개개인이 자립할 수 있을 때 국가도 자립할 수 있다고 보았다. ‘노예의 나라’가 아닌 ‘사람의 나라’를 건립해야 하는 것이다. 그의 연설의 목적도 휴머니즘, 곧 “사람 세우기” 실천의 일환으로 볼 수 있다.

영어초록

This purpose of this study is to analyze the speech of Lu Xun (魯迅, 1881∼1936) based on the methodology of rhetoric. This study will investigate the method of persuasion he employes in conveying his spirit to his audience.
By his speech, Lu Xun expressed his mind to the youth of his era, bringing a great impact to those who heard him. According to him, the recovery of the independence and vivacity of Chinese society was most urgent. The root of his thought was about humanity and planting seeds of humanity in the spirit of the mass population. More precisely, it was about the Chinese population being released from their spiritual slavery, regaining independence, egoism, dignity, and moreover, the honesty and the bravery to embrace reality which the Chinese population of that era generally lacks. Consequently, his speech was an extension and exhibition of his thought --- humanity and cultivating humanity in the mind of people.
This article studies the speech of Lu Xun given at Fu Ren university in November 1932. The title of this speech was "My Two Thoughts This Spring". Lu Xun pointed out two main ideas in his speech. First, do not live lives with a playful attitude, but rather do everything seriously. Second, expand one's vision, but don't take it too far. We ought to focus on reality and the immediate problems of the society.
This purpose of this research is to analyze the speech of Lu Xun based on rhetoric. We will look at the process of ideation, juxtaposition, representation, under the framework of rhetoric. In ideation, we study the topos of Lu Xun by his argument. In juxtaposition, we study the principle of secrecy in the preparation which led to his main speech. His main speech is logical as plenty of examples are used by the speaker. At the end of the speech, the speaker summarizes the core arguments of his speech. In the process of representation, the most representative rhetoric used by the speaker are metaphor and satire.
