초록

이 논문은 淸州 拱北樓에 있는 高麗 恭愍王 때의 應製詩 26首에 주목하여, 그것들이 하나의 應製詩板으로 묶여 정리되는 과정, 그 詩들의 주요 특징 그리고 文臣官僚인 詩의 作者들의 정치적 실체를 추적한 것이다. 그리하여, 먼저 이 응제시판은 1362년 9월 19일 피난지 청주에서 고려가 새로운 親元정책을 선포한 직후 공민왕과 문신관료들이 공북루에 올라 문신을 격려하고 군신의 화합을 도모하며 왕의 권위를 굳힌다는 정치적 목적 아래 詩會를 열어 시를 짓게 하고, 뒤에 그것을 白文寶가 26首로 편집 정리함으로써 이루어진 것이다. 다음으로 여기의 시 26수는 작자들이 시회에서 신료로서 느낀 侍從의 영광과 공북루에서 내려다 보이는 아름다운 풍경을 읊은 것이 중심 내용을 이루지만, 전란을 겪은 고려의 再興과 元으로부터의 독립을 강조하는 것도 포함되었다. 끝으로 이 응제시판에 오른 26명 가운데 추적이 가능한 24명의 문신관료들을 개별적으로 분석 검토하여 그들의 가문배경과 활동내용을 중심으로 역사적 실체와 정치적 성격을 검토하였다. 대체로 이 시기 청주에 피난한 고려의 中 ․ 上級 문신관료들을 충실히 대표하는 24명은 대부분 유서가 깊고 훌륭한 가문 출신의 유능한 인물이었는데, 이것은 당시 사회의 귀족적 보수성과 정치적 안정을 도모하려는 공민왕의 의지가 결합한 결과였다. 그러한 가운데 비록 극소수이지만, 이채롭고 한미한 가문 출신자가 여기에 포함됨으로써 공민왕의 개혁의지가 살아 있음을 엿볼 수 있었다. 이처럼 청주 공북루의 응제시판은 당시 고려 정치상황의 중요한 단면을 알려 주는 것이었다.

영어초록

The research subjects of this paper are 26 Ung-je-shi poems(應製詩; poems written according to the king's order) created under the reign of King Gongmin in Koryo Dynasty, located at Gongbuk-Ru in Cheong-Ju. And this paper aims to examine the process for the Ung-je-shi poems of being bound into and recorded on one board of poetry(shi-pan; 詩板), the main characteristic of the poems, along with the political substance of the poets who were bureaucrats of Koryo Dynasty.
This board written of Ung-je-shi poetry was made out as the following process. First, the poems recorded on this board were created at the poetry party just after the proclamation of the new pro-Mongol policy by Koryo Dynasty Goverment on September 19th of 1362 at Gongbuk-Ru in Cheong-Ju, the sanctuary from the invasion of the Red-toweled Thief(紅巾賊; Hong-Gun-Jeok), which had been held aiming for the political purpose of achieving unity among the King Gongmin and civil ministers, and establishment of the King's authority. Secondly, Baek Moon-Bo(白文寶) chose 26 pieces out of them, and edited them into one board of poetry.
The contents of the poems mainly consists of the honored feelings that the poets felt as vassals and the beautiful landscape from Gongbuk-Ru, but the desire for the reconstruction of Koryo Dynasty out of the destruction during the war and the independence from Mongolian rule was also included.
Finally, the review of 24 out of 26 poets' family backgrounds and political activities reaches the ensuing conclusion. The 24 poets represented almost the whole civil bureaucrats of upper and middle grade who had evacuated to Cheong-ju from the invasion of the Red-toweled Thief, and most of them were competent figures from the historic and great families. This was due to the combination of the aristocratic and conservative character in Koryo society at that time, and King Gongmin's intention to get political stability. But the list of 26 poets also contains a few people from unusual and humble families, and this shows that King Gongmin's will of reform was still alive.
