오행론에 근거한 전통 태교음악의 구성 (Composition of Traditional Prenatal Music Based on the Five Elements Theory)

초록

傳統的으로 동양에서는 많은 학술분야에서 ‘陰陽論’과 ‘五行論’을 기반으로 삼았다. 생명활동과 관련하면 오행론은 오행의 기운이 핵심이다. 長短⋅高低⋅淸濁을 지닌 ‘聲氣’로서의 음악과, 태아를 형성하는 ‘精氣’는 모두 기운이며 이 기운을 다루는 범주로서 오행론이 자리잡고 있다.
『禮記』의 음악관에서 알 수 있듯이 태아를 포함한 인간은 外物과 內面 간 감응을 하는데 이 감응 논리가 기본이 되어 전통음악론이 형성되었다. 태교음악도 마찬가지이다.
상호 감응에는 내용과 형식이 있다. ‘태교음악’의 경우 음악의 장단⋅고저⋅청탁 등의 기운을 오행으로 구분하는 것과, 그렇게 구분된 오행에 합당한 곡을 짓거나 선정하는 일이 중요한 내용이 되고 오행론을 기반으로 삼고 있는 한, 그에 못지않게 중요한 것은 그 형식적 구성도 중요하다.
오행론에 입각한 태교음악의 구성 방법에 관한 기존 연구에서는 태교음악의 구성을 ‘木⋅火⋅土⋅金⋅水’의 순서로 10개월 동안 5등분하여 차례로 적용해야한다는 주장을 하고 있다. 본고에서는 이론적인 차원에서 다른 순서를 제시한 것이다. 본질적으로는 胎兒의 형성이 완성으로 운행되는 개념이라기보다는 ‘生成’되는 과정이라는 점에 착안한 것이다. 운행의 관점 보다는 ‘생성’의 관점을 적용하는 것이 타당하다고 생각했기 때문이다.
이렇게 보면 태아가 생성되는 1, 2, 3, 4, 5개월과 6, 7, 8, 9, 10개월은 각기 ‘水⋅火⋅木⋅金⋅土’에 해당하는 음악의 기운, 그리고 곡과 악기를 연관시켜 ‘生’과 ‘成’의 과정을 완수하는 것이 합리적일 것이다. 전통 태교음악의 구체적 구성은 음악의 전문성과 실험이 필요한 부분이기 때문에 본고에서는 어디까지나 理論的 原則을 제시하는데 그칠 수밖에 없으며 따라서 이에 관한 臨床이 필요하다는 점을 밝혀둔다.

영어초록

Traditionally in the East, many academic fields have been based on yin and yang and five elements. When it comes to life activities, the energy of the five elements is the key to the five elements theory. Music as a genital short with long low, high clear and turbid, ‘voice and spint[聲氣]’ and ‘marrow[精氣]’ and fine and the sound that forms the fetus are both energy, and the five elements theory is established as a category that deals with this energy.
As can be seen from the music hall of 『禮記』, humans, including fetuses, respond between foreign objects and inner objects, and traditional music theory was formed based on this sensitivity logic. The same goes for prenatal music. When music affects one’s ‘body and mind[身心]’, and conversely, when sound comes out from within a person and is regularized, interactive interaction and action, which becomes music, are also premised on prenatal music.
There are content and forms of mutual response. In the case of prenatal music, it will be important to classify the energy of music’s rhythm, rhythm, and solicitations into five elements, and to write or select songs suitable for the five elements. However, as long as it is based on the five elements theory, what is no less important is its formal composition.
Existing studies on the composition of prenatal music based on the five elements theory argue that prenatal music should be divided into five equal parts for 10 months in the order of ‘Mok[木], hwa[火], to[土], geum[金], su[水]’ and number and applied in turn. In this paper, a different order is presented at the theoretical level. Essentially, it is based on the fact that the formation of the fetus is a process of being created rather than a concept in which completion is operated. In addition, in theory of dynamics, the application of misadventure was different in terms of generation and operation, so in this case, it was considered reasonable to apply the perspective of generation rather than the perspective of operation.
In this way, it would be reasonable for 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 months when the fetus is created to complete the process of life by linking the music energy and the music and instruments corresponding to ‘Su[水], hwa[火], mok[木], geum[金], to[土]’ respectively, and for 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10 months, it would be reasonable to complete the process by linking the music energy and the music and instruments corresponding to ‘Su[水], hwa[火], mok[木], geum[金], and to[土]’ Since the specific composition of traditional prenatal music is a part that requires the expertise and experimentation of music, this paper only presents theoretical principles, and therefore, it is necessary to conduct clinical trials on this.
