삼위일체론적 성경본체론 회복의 필요성에 대한 고찰: 언어행위 이론(Speech-act theory)의 통찰을 활용하여 (A Thought on the Need to Retrieve a Trinitarian Ontology of Scripture: In the Light of Speech-act Theory)

초록

본 연구의 주된 목적은 기능론적 성경론의 약점을 극복하는 대안으로서 성경본체론을 회복해야 할 필요성을 역설하고, 성경의 속성과 기능과 권위에대한 보다 나은 신학적 해석으로서 ‘삼위일체적 성경본체론’을 제시하려는데 있다.
포스트모더니즘의 도전에 직면하여 포스트리버럴 신학은 성경의 권위를믿음공동체의 구체적 삶의 정황 속에서 정체성을 형성하고 삶을 변혁시키는성경의 기능에서 찾으려 한다. 포스트리버럴 신학의 기능론적 성경론은 성경의 권위를 ‘성경에 내재한 속성’이 아닌 ‘공동체에 의한 성경의 사용’에 근거하게 함으로써, 성경이 삼위 하나님과 맺고 있는 관계에 대해서는 소홀히취급한다. 비록 성경을 해석공동체와 그들의 구체적 삶으로 연결시킴으로써성경론에 있어서 해석공동체의 중요성을 재발견하는 데 있어서 공헌함에도불구하고, 기능론적 성경론은 성경본체론적 논의를 결여하고 있고 그럼으로써 ‘살아있는 하나님의 말씀’으로서의 성경의 외적이고 객관적인 권위에 대해서는 충분한 해명을 제공하지 못한다. 이러한 문제의식으로부터 성경을 하나님과의 관계의 관점에서 이해하려는 본체론적 성경론 회복의 필요성이 대두된다. 삼위일체론의 중심성과 권위의 패턴에 대한 이해는 기독교적 성경론이 무엇보다도 ‘삼위일체론적 성경본체론’이어야 함을 말해준다. 그러한 삼위일체적 성경본체론은 성경론에있어서 본체와 기능, 권위와 수행, 의미와 실천을 통합적으로 이해하는 해석적 틀을 제공해 준다.
언어행위 이론의 개념과 통찰을 차용하여, 우리는 성경을 ‘삼위하나님의소통수행적 언어행위’로 이해할 수 있다. 삼위하나님의 소통적 행위로서 성경은 계시적, 구속적 경륜 속에서 우리를 하나님의 백성으로 만들어 하나님과의 언약관계 속에 거하게 한다. 이런 의미에서 하나님의 전능한 언어행위로서의 성경은 또한 ‘하나님의 언약적 언어행위’이다. 확실히, 성경의 최상의권위는 ‘교회의 성경사용’에 의해서 아니라, ‘하나님의 신적 사용’에 기인한다. 공동체의 성경 해석과 수행과 삶 속에서의 구체화는 신적 사용과 수행의결과이기 때문에, 하나님의 살아있는 말씀으로서의 성경 권위의 원천이 될수 없다. 더 나아가, 성경의 실천과 수행을 우선적으로 하나님의 것으로 귀속시키는 삼위일체적 성경본체론은 성령의 해석학적 중요성을 재조명한다는 점에서 ‘성경과 성령의 밀접한 관계’라는 개혁주의적 성경론의 사상을 다시금 확인한다.

영어초록

The overarching aim of this study is to emphasize the urgent need to retrieve an ontology of Scripture in order to overcome the fatal weakness of a functional bibliology, and to suggest ‘a trinitarian ontology of Scripture’ as a more promising theological account of Scripture.
Facing the challenge of postmodernism, postliberal theology attempts to restore Scripture’s authority in terms of the function of Scripture,which forms the identity of the faith communities and transforms them in the concrete life situations. Put differently, by way of attributing the authority of Scripture to ‘the use of Scripture by the community’ instead of ‘the intrinsic property of Scripture,’ postliberal’s functional bibliology fails to do full justice to the relationship of Scripture with the triune God. In spite of its contribution to rediscover the importance of the interpreting community by linking intimately Scripture with the community,a postliberal view of Scripture lacks a dogmatic and ontological account of Scripture, which considers Scripture to have an external and objective authority as the viva vox Dei.
From this emerges the need to retrieve an ontological view of Scripture, which claims to begin with talk of Scripture from the relation of Scripture with God who speaks in and through it. On account of the centrality of the doctrine of the triune God and the pattern of authority,a Christian account of Scripture ought to be, above all, a ‘trinitarian ontology of Scripture,’ which could provide our talk of Scripture with an interpretative framework to understand both ontology and function,authority and performance, and meaning and embodiment in a more integrated way.
Appropriating the concepts and insights of speech-act theory, we can speak of Scripture as ‘the triune God’s communicative-performative speech-act.’Scripture as God’s communicative speech-act makes us the people of God and brings us into the covenantal relation with God in the economy of divine revelation and redemption. In this sense, Scripture as God’s mighty speech-act is also ‘God’s covenantal speech-act.’ Surely, the supreme authority of Scripture is rooted in ‘the divine use of Scripture’,not ‘the churchly use of it.’ The interpretation, performance, and embodiment of Scripture in the life of the community is the subsequent consequence of the divine use and performance of it, and thus cannot be the root of Scripture’s authority. Furthermore, a trinitarian ontological view of Scripture recognizes anew the hermeneutical significance of the Spirit in talk of Scripture and by so doing reaffirms ‘the mutual bond of the Word and the Spirit,’ one of the Reformed thoughts on Scripture.
