초록

새로운 작품 <척사판론>는 『금수강산유람기(錦繡江山遊覽記)』라는 자료집에 수록되어 있는 작품인데 아직 학계에 보고된 바가 없는 새로운 작품이다. 잡가 형식으로 지어진 1960년대 작품으로 추정된다. 이 작품은 윷놀이를 기반으로 하여 매우 단순한 듯 보이지만 그 속에는 다양한 사상과 복잡한 여러 구조를 지니고 있다. 이 작품 내용은 놀이 방식을 설명하는 것으로 시작하며 윷놀이판의 모양, 윷놀이 방식과 승패를 비유적으로 소개하면서 윷놀이하는 모습을 서술하고 있다.
<척사판론>에서 작자는 윷놀이를 호기심을 가지고 있고, 작품에서 시적 화자는 작품 외부에서 윷놀이를 바라보고 관찰하여 상징적으로 서술하고 있다. 단순히 놀이로서 윷놀이의 가치를 규명하는 것이 아니라 『정감록』, 『격암유록』의 표현을 사용하여 예언·계몽의 목적을 담아내고 있다. 과거에 문헌에 기록된 윷놀이 방법은 현재 우리가 하는 윷놀이 방식과 거의 동일하다는 것을 알 수 있다. 특히 옛 문헌에서는 윷놀이 방법 중 말이 갈 수 있는 4가지 길과 관련하여 여러 개의 말을 적절하게 쓰는 ‘지략(智略)’이 놀이의 성패를 결정한다는 사실을 강조하고 있다.
<척사판론>은 문학적 우수성은 찾기 어렵지만 작품을 쉽게 익힐 수 있고, 사람들에게 익숙한 소재 ‘윷놀이’를 사용하여 인간이 지녀야 할 의식의 함양이나 삶의 지침을 독려하는 목적을 가지고 있다. 선악(善惡)의 행위 등을 통하여 인간은 스스로 길흉화복(吉凶禍福)의 길을 선택하게 되는 것이다.
<척사판론>에서는 집단의 화합과 결속을 이끌어내는 윷놀이의 긍정적 측면이 있었기 때문에 전승한 것으로 판단할 수 있다. 사람들의 여가 문화의 현장이었고, 이를 통해 결속을 확인하고 자신도 그 일원이라는 자긍심을 표출할 수 있었던 것으로 판단된다.

영어초록

The newly discovered <CheoksaPanron(擲柶判論)> is a work contained in a resource collection called <Geumsugangsan (picturesque rivers and mountains) Sightseeing Records (錦繡江山遊覽記)> and is a new work that has not yet been reported to academia. It is believed to be a work from the 1960s, which was built in the form of a miscellaneous song. This work seems to be very simple based on yutnori, but it has various ideas and complex structures. The content of this work begins by explaining the play method and describes the shape of the yut play board, the way of yut play, and the way of winning or losing, figuratively introducing the game of yut. There are many figurative descriptions in the way of expression.
In <CheoksaPanron(擲柶判論)> the author observes Yutnori with curiosity and describes it interestingly. In the work, the poetic speaker looks at and observes Yutnori from the outside of the work and describes it symbolically. It does not simply identify the value of Yutnori through play, but uses the expressions of ≪Jeonggamrok≫ and ≪Gyeokamyurok≫ to capture the purpose of prophecy and enlightenment. It can be seen that the method of playing yut recorded in the literature in the past is almost the same as the method of playing yut now. In particular, the old literature emphasizes the fact that “strategies” that use several words appropriately determine the success or failure of the game in relation to the four paths that horses can take among the methods of playing yut.
The transmission pattern of <CheoksaPanron(擲柶判論)> reflects various genres such as Chinese poetry, lyrics, and folk songs. As such, it can be seen that works on yutnori are continuously distributed from Chinese poetry to japga. Although literary excellence is difficult to find, it is easy to learn the work, and the purpose is to cultivate consciousness or encourage guidelines for life that humans should have by using the familiar material “Yutnori.” Through the actions of good and evil, humans choose the path of good and evil on their own.
In <CheoksaPanron(擲柶判論)>, it can be judged that it was handed down because there was a positive aspect of Yutnori that led to group harmony and solidarity. It was the site of people’s leisure culture, and it is judged that through this, they were able to confirm solidarity and express their pride as a member of it. On the other hand, it also shows that the space of Yutnori was not just a place to compete, but a place of culture by sharing, encouraging, and solidifying life experiences, which seems to have been vividly recorded in the style of Jobga.
