    초록

    The Joseon Dynasty suffered the damage of the fall of empire due to Imjin war, Japan provoked in 1592. More than one hundred thousand people remained in captivity in Japan as a slave and a part of them were sold to Southeast Asia or other countries. In modern history, Japan colonized the Korean peninsula by force and made China, Taiwan, and several Asian countries, etc. as ??tributary countries and massacred and pillaged tremendous human and material resources. But Japan has not been acknowledging that fact, even without any reflection itself. It has something to do with Japanese national convention which Imjin war is understood as the historical milestone, a conquest of Korea. This thesis is written for making Japan reflect on its wrong historical consciousness by accepting the issue of the Imjin war prisoners as a cultural content material at the age of globalization and also for the purpose of presenting a cultural image of East Asian unity on the assumption of Japanese reflection and awareness.
    Ganghang is a scholar of the Joseon period, taken captive to Japan for three years. He wrote five essays of hands on experience of captivity and later younger students collected them and made Ganyangrok with official publication. Ganyangrok is the best record literature unmatched because it is the most obvious information about living as a captive with accurate depictions and delicate expressions. Dedicated to the king of his own country after investigation of Japan during the detention, a Letter to the highness from a hostile land , the Report, seen and heard in an enemy s land , written for the purpose of devoting to the king after returning,to the captives who had left in Japan before returning, a Manifesto to the captives , being presented to the king after returning, a Report dedicated to the king at Seungjeongwon-the royal secretariat, and Life history of the war , written by staying at home after returning,all these books are his five essays.
    This Ganyangrok storytelling can seek for its direction to the three main dimensions. First, the origin of wrong historical attitude of Japan may be presented in detail. At ImJin war, Japan loaded up the noses and ears of Koreans who had been shot and cut and made ??the Ear Mound. However, Far from its reflection on the history of aggression Japan made a tourist trail rather for the purpose of boasting their achievements. This attitude is led to non-reflective manner about modern Japanese war of aggression on the territory.
    Secondly, It is the most certain and the oldest proof that Joseon brought Korean studies and culture to Japan. Japan still does not speak openly about a myriad of tangible and intangible cultural assets which had been brought to Japan from the Three Kingdoms period.
    Ganyangrok is the material which shows the reality. Third,concreteness of the spatial background and character is revealed in the process of being taken as Imjin War prisoners and escape. A Story can be led to a work, being based on characters, events, and background. Ganyangrok is easy for storytelling as itseslf.
    Ganyangrok makes us reflect on emotion of countries with history of aggression and usurpation such as Japan, and it also can be used as the story and its contents to improve the spirit of peaceful coexistence for the global age.
