바닥시설로 본 경산 부적리 일대 적석목곽묘의 의미 (The significance of the wooden chamber tomb covered by stone and earthen mound in Bujeok-ri, Gyeongsan as burial platform)

초록

이 글은 경산 부적리 일대의 신라 지방 적석목곽묘 바닥시설에 주목하여 제사유적으로 보고된 경산 부적리 379번지 유적 적석유구의 독특한 구축법에 초점을 맞추어 인접한 경산 임당유적의 고총, 경주지역 적석목곽묘의 바닥시설을 비교대상으로 삼아 부적리 379번지 유적 적석유구의 성격을 재검토한 것이다. 그 결과, 부적리 379번지 유적 적석유구는 임당 구릉에서 강력한 전통 아래 축조된 재지계 고총의 바닥시설과는 확연한 차이를 보이며, 오히려 신라 지방에 축조된 적석목곽묘로 알려진 부적리 BⅥ호분의 바닥시설과 동일하다. 또한 황남대총, 서봉총, 금령총, 식리총 등 경주지역의 신라 중앙 적석목곽묘 바닥시설과 구조적 유사도가 높은 것을 통해 부적리 379번지 유적 적석유구는 지방에 축조된 적석목곽묘 중 하나이며, 오늘날에는 무덤의 하부인 바닥시설만 남은 것으로 파악하였다.
신라 적석목곽묘가 지닌 두꺼운 바닥시설은 경주 중심지고분군의 습지 환경과 큰 관련이 있는 것으로 지적되어 왔다. 그러나 구릉지에 입지한 경산 부적리고분군 일대 적석목곽묘에도 독특한 바닥시설이 적용된현상에 대하여 지방 적석목곽묘에는 두꺼운 바닥시설의 기능적 의미가 퇴색되고, 구조 혹은 공정들이 하나의 축조 습관으로 굳어진 신라 중앙식의 적석목곽묘를 적용한 결과로 해석하였다.
더하여 부적리 BⅥ호분과 379번지 유적 적석유구의 축조시기인 6세기 중엽을 전후한 시점은 지증왕 6년(505년)에 시행된 주군제의 정비, 지방 군주 파견 등의 기록을 통하여 당시 신라가 지방에 대한 정책을 체계적으로 수립하고자 한 시기임을 알 수 있다. 경산의 부적리 일대 적석목곽묘는 축조집단이 이러한 상황에 대응하면서도 집단 내에서는 안정성을 확립, 표출하며 결속을 위하여 주체적으로 채택한 결과로 보았다. 최고지배자인 干을 배출하는 임당동과 조영동고분군 재지 세력의 전통과는 달리 부적리고분군 축조집단은 신라중앙 세력과 깊은 관계를 형성하려는 의도를 지니고 있던 집단일 가능성을 제시하였다.

영어초록

This article is an article regarding the burial platform of the wooden chamber tomb covered by stone and earthen mound in the Bujeok-ri, Gyeongsan area during the Silla Dynasty. The stacked stone facility, a relic discovered at 379 Bujeok-ri, Gyeongsan was presumed to be the ritual relics with its unique construction method particularly stands out. With the comparative subjects of ancient tomb of adjacent Imdang relics of Gyeongsan and burial platform of wooden chamber tomb covered by stone and earthen mound in the Gyeongju area with the focus on the foregoing, the characteristics of the stacked stone facility have been reviewed. In addition, through the burial platform of a chamber, the implication of the wooden chamber tomb covered by stone and earthen mound in the Bujeok-ri area is sought, and furthermore, it has handled the functions and implications in the burial platform of the wooden chamber tomb covered by stone and earthen mound in the Silla region.
As a result, the relic at 379 Bujeok-ri, stacked stone facility, demonstrates conspicuous difference from the burial platform of the ancient tombs constructed under the powerful tradition in the area.
However, it is rather identical to the burial platform of Bujeok-ri BVI tomb that is known as the wooden chamber tomb covered by stone and earthen mound built in the Silla region. Furthermore, it has high structural similarities with the burial platform of the wooden chamber tomb covered by stone and earthen mound in the central Silla, the Gyeongju area, for Hwangnamdae-chong, Seobong-chong, Geumryeong-chong, Sikri-chong and others. Through the foregoing, the stacked stone facility is one of the wooden chamber tomb covered by stone and earthen mounds constructed in the region, and is remaining today only for the lower structure of the tombs.
The thick burial platform contained in the wooden chamber tomb covered by stone and earthen mound of Silla has been pointed out to have a great relation with the wetland environment of the central ancient tombs in Gyeongju. The thick burial platform would be functioned as a preparatory measure to adept to the nature environmentally adverse situation. However, the phenomenon to apply the unique burial platform for the wooden chamber tomb covered by stone and earthen mound in the Gyeongsan Bujeok-ri ancient tombs area that is situated in the mountain ridge area is also unique. The functional implication for the thick burial platform in the wooden chamber tomb covered by stone and earthen mound in Gyeongju is construed as diminished in the region, and the structure or processing was constructed in the region while it was solidified as one of the construction routines. In addition, it has presented a possibility to selectively opted since it contains representative element of the wooden chamber tomb covered by stone and earthen mound as shared within the construction group for the wooden chamber tomb covered by stone and earthen mound in the area.
