도설(圖說)로 풀이한 한글서법론 고찰 (A Study on the Theory of Hangul Calligraphy Solved by an explanatory diagram)

초록

훈민정음의 문자에는 <하도>와 <낙서>의 상수학과 역의 우주 과학적 사고가 내재되어 있다. 그러므로 한글서예 이론도 변화하는 역과 연관하여 그 마땅함을 유추할 수 있다. 본고에서는 훈민정음 제자원리에 내재되어 있는 상수학적 사고를 분석하여 한글서예 이론의 연원을 기초적으로 연구하였다.
연구의 내용은 첫째, 점[․]의 표기와 운필론을 주돈이의 <태극도>와 <선천복희8괘방위도>를 적용하여 분석한 결과, 모음 ‘ㆍ’의 소리가 목구멍의 가장 깊은 데에서 나오므로 천일생수(天一生水)의 이치와 태극의 만물생성 이치가 동일한 점을 파악하고, 주돈이가 <태극도>에서 태극을 둥근 원으로 상징한 것과 같이 천원(天圓)을 의상(意象)하여 점[․]으로 표기한 연원을 밝혔다. 아울러 ‘ㆍ’의 용필론은 <선천복희8괘도>의 운동성, 즉 순행과 역행으로 끝없이 움직이는 원리가 태극의 이치와 같이 문자에 내재된 점을 파악하여 필획이 기운 생동하는 운필론의 미감을 제시하였다.
둘째, 훈민정음 창제원리의 근거가 된 <태극도>의 음양대대(陰陽對待) 요소는 한글서예의 미학범주가 될 수 있으며, 필법론의 운필, 결구, 장법 등에 활용 가능한 요소를 제시하였다. 하지만 양강음유미(陽剛陰柔美)가 조화를 이루는 운필과 결구의 창작은 작가의 역량에 달려 있다는 것을 밝혔다.
셋째, 장법과 결구는 <하도>와 <낙서>의 원리를 적용하여 분석하였다. <하도>의 오행 상생성이 낱글자의 결구에 응용되었고, 글자와 글자가 세로로 이어져 ‘상생’의 장법을 구성하는 점을 분석하였다. 아울러 결구된 낱글자의 외형(외곽)은 낙서의 방형을 본받았고, 결구미는 낙서의 8괘 9궁을 그려서 가로, 세로, 대각선이 모두 15라는 통일된 숫자의 질서 속에 문자(초중종성 합자)를 배자한 결과 중앙의 황극인 천수(天數) 5를 중심으로 상하좌우 대각선이 균평하게 조형된 점을 분석하였다.
훈민정음해례본은 한글 문자의 원형이자, 창제원리를 밝혀 놓은 우리민족의 고전문헌이다. 더욱이 창제원리는 서예의 운필, 결구, 장법 등의 서예 이론과 ‘둘이 아닌 하나의 이치’를 내재한 보배로운 자료이다. 그러므로 훈민정음의 제자원리가 한글 서론의 기반을 제공한다는 점에서 처음 논술한 것에 가치를 둔다.

영어초록

Hunminjeongeum was not created with Sangsu-studies or library studies in the first place. However, Sangsu-studies of <Hado> and <Nakseo> and space scientific thinking are inherent in this great character, Hunminjeongeum. Therefore, the theory of calligraphy can be inferred in relation to this systematic change.
In this paper, the origin of the introduction to Hangeul was studied by analyzing the fact that the principle of Hunminjeongeum creation contained such thinking of Sangsu-studies.
The contents of the study are as follows: First, the result of analyzing the dotted line notation and the theory of writing by substituting Zhou Dunyi's <Taekeuk-do> and <Bok-hee-sun-chun-pal-goae-bang-wi-do> , Since the sound of the vowel 'ㆍ' comes from the deepest part of the throat, the principle of 'Chun-1-saeng-su' and the principle of Taekuk's creation of all things are the same. As Taekeuk is symbolized by a round circle in <Taekeuk-do>, the origin marked with dots 'ㆍ' was revealed in the sense of heaven. In addition, the theory of using 'ㆍ' is the same as the principle of Taekeuk, in which the motility of <Bok-hee-sun-chun-pal-goae-bang-wi-do> moves endlessly in forward and backward motion, and this is inherent in the characters. By grasping the point of view that is being developed, the lively stroke technique as if strokes are alive was presented as an aesthetic sense. Second, the Eum-Yang-Daedae elements of <Taekeuk-do>, which served as the basis for the creation principle of Hunminjeongeum, can be an aesthetic category of Korean calligraphy, and elements that can be used such as the brush stroke method, ending phrase, and sentence method were presented. However, it was revealed that the creation of strokes and strokes in harmony with the positive and negative effects depended on the artist's ability. Third, sentence method and ending phrase the principles of <Ha-do> and <Nak-seo>. As for the sentence method, the five elements co-creation of <Hado> was applied to the composition of individual letters, and the vertical connection of letters to form the sentence method of 'coexistence' was analyzed. In addition, the shape of the individual letters was modeled after the square of Nak-seo, and the ending was drawn with Nak-seo's 8 trigrams and 9 gungs, so that the horizontal, vertical and diagonal lines are all 15, letters (initial+neutral+final sound) was placed, and the diagonals of the upper, lower, left, and right sides were evenly shaped around the center of '天數5'.
