텍스트 감상에서 인지도구를 활용한 상상력 교육 방안 연구 (A Study on the Imagination Education Method Using Cognitive Tools in Text Appreciation)

초록

이 연구의 목적은 삶의 경험에서 제한성을 지닌 초등학교 학습자의 상상을 촉진하기위한 교육 방안을 제안하는 것이다. 이를 위하여 먼저, 비고츠키의 상상론에 기반하여사고작용으로서 상상과 경험, 상상과 정서의 관계를 논의하고, 국어교과서를 중심으로문학수업에서 학습자의 상상이 다루어지고 있는 방식을 살펴보았다. 상상은 경험을 토대로 이루어지며, 정서는 상상을 촉발한다. 초등학교 학습자의 경험은 매우 제한적이므로 경험 외의 맥락을 만들어 줌으로써 경험의 제한성을 보완할 수 있는 상상력 교육이이루어질 필요가 있으나, 현재의 문학교육은 주로 텍스트 자체나 텍스트와 관련된 직접, 간접 경험에 의존하는 방식을 취하고 있다. 경험 외에 동원할 수 있는 다양한 자원을마련하고 상상을 촉발시킬 수 있는 환경을 조성하기 위한 교육 방안을 모색하기 위하여본고에서는 상상이 인지적 영역과 정의적 영역을 포괄하는 심리적인 행위로서 상상에필요한 경험 자원의 부족을 보완해주는 지식만으로는 작품을 느끼고 상상하는 데 충분하지 않으며 정서가 상상이라는 사고작용을 촉발시키는 계기로 작동한다는 점, 독자의상상이 작동되기 위한 심리적 동기라는 점을 논의하였다. 다음, 텍스트 감상에서 앞의문제들을 지원하기 위한 교육 방안으로 이건의 인지도구의 활용을 제안하였다. 문학교육에서 이건의 인지도구는 학습자의 제한된 경험을 보완하기 위한 다양한 지식의 탐색뿐만 아니라 텍스트 감상 과정에서 학습자의 정서를 불러일으키는 전략 및 활동으로활용될 수 있으며, 지식학습이 아닌 문학작품의 심층적 이해를 위해 활용도어야 한다.
문학교육에서 인지도구의 적용은 ‘경험과 지식의 확장을 통해 상상력 촉진하기’와 ‘텍스트와 정서의 연결을 통해 상상 촉진하기’의 차원으로 설정할 수 있다. 첫 번째 범주에서는 ‘상반된 쌍,’ ‘극단적 경험과 실재의 한계’, ‘수집’을, 두 번째 범주에서는 ‘경이감’, ‘영웅과의 동일시’, ‘놀이’를 제안하였다.

영어초록

The purpose of this study is to propose an educational method to promote the imagination of elementary school learners with limitations in life experience. To this end, first, based on Vygotsky's imagination theory, the relationship between imagination and experience, imagination and emotion as a process of thinking was discussed, and the way learners' imagination was handled in literature classes centering on Korean language textbooks was examined. Imagination is based on experience, and emotion triggers imagination. Since elementary school learners' experiences are very limited, it is necessary to provide imagination education that can compensate for the limitations of experiences by creating a context other than the experience. However, the current literature education is mainly limited to the method of relying on the text itself or direct or indirect experiences related to the text. In order to find educational methods to prepare various resources that can be mobilized other than experience and to create an environment that can trigger imagination, this paper examines imagination as a psychological act that encompasses cognitive and affective domains, and experiences necessary for imagination. It was discussed that the knowledge that compensates for the lack of resources is not enough to feel and imagine the work, that emotions work as an opportunity to trigger the thinking process of imagination, and that the reader's imagination is a psychological motive for operating. Next, as an educational method to support the above problems in text appreciation, the use of Egan's recognition tool was proposed. In literature education, Egan's cognitive tool can be used not only as a search for various knowledge to supplement learners' limited experience, but also as a strategy and activity that arouses learners' emotions in the process of appreciating texts. should be usable for The application of cognitive tools in literature education can be set in the dimensions of 'promoting imagination through the expansion of experience and knowledge' and 'promoting imagination through the connection between text and emotion'. In the first category, ‘opposite pairs,’ ‘extreme experience and limits of reality,’ and ‘collection’ were proposed, and in the second category, ‘sense of wonder’, ‘identification with the hero’, and ‘play’ were suggested.
