초록

지역문학의 소외 현상과 기본권으로 누리던 문화주권의 상실을 비판적으로 다루며 중앙문단의 문학권력에 맞서는 지역문학의 활로를 토박이문학론에서 찾는다. 현지답사 성과를 작품화한 지역 작가의 토박이문학과, 도시를 등지고 고향에 살면서 시골생활과 구비문학을 소재로 성공한 동서 작가의 토박이문학을 보기로 한샤오공(韓少功)과 벨마 월리스(Velma Wallis)의 작품을 든다. 그러므로 진정으로 지역을 사랑하고 스스로 토박이 삶을 누리는 것이 작가의 지역문학 창작에 우선한다.
구비문학은 전승 과정에서 이미 집단 공감대를 이룬 민중고전일 뿐 아니라, 현대사회의 현실 문제를 담아내는 재창조의 가능성까지 지녔다. 구비문학과 현대사회의 문제를 유기적 관계로 포착해야 지역문학 창작의 길이 열린다. 처녀시절 야반도주 경험을 털어놓은 생애담은 할머니들 스스로 성적 자기결정권을 눈뜨게 하는 인간해방의 문학 구실을 함으로써 진정한 지역문학의 기능을 발휘했다.
구비문학의 상상력은 현대 첨단기술을 앞서 간다. 이야기로 전승되는 화수분과 도깨비방망이의 상상력은 컴퓨터와 스마트폰, 인터넷 구현의 기술보다 훨씬 앞선다. 말만 하면 실물을 무한 복제해낼 수 있기 때문이다. 현실적으로 해결할 수 없는 구조적인 문제도 설화는 과감한 발상과 오랜 슬기로 기발하게 해결하며, 체제 저항적 변혁성과 여성주의적 진보성도 확보하고 있다. 그러므로 지역 구비문학의 상상력은 과학기술을 혁신하고 사회를 진보적으로 변혁시키는 민족적 창조력이라 할 수 있다.

영어초록

This study critically deals with the alienation phenomenon of local literature and the loss of cultural sovereignty enjoyed as basic rights, and finds out the way of local literature that confronts literary power of the central literary world from a native literary theory. This study uses Han Shaogong and Velma Wallis’s works as native literature of local writers who have involved the achievements of field trip into the work, and native literature of the eastern and western writers who have succeeded in writing novels based on rural life and oral literature while living in their hometowns leaving a city. Therefore, truly loving the region and enjoying the native life on their own is the basis of writers’ local literary creation.
Oral literature is not only a popular classic that has already achieved consensus during the transmission, but also has the possibility of embodying and recreating the actual problems of contemporary society. It is necessary to capture the problems of modern society and oral literature in an organic relation so that the way of creating local literature can open. The grandmothers, who shared their life stories about a moonlight flit when they were unmarried, demonstrated the role of genuine local literature serving as the literature of human liberation that allows them to awaken their own sexual self-determination.
The imagination of oral literature goes ahead of modern high technology. The imagery of Hwasubun and goblin’s bat that are handed down to stories are far ahead of computer, smartphone, and Internet technologies. It is because it can make infinite reproduction of a real thing only by saying. The structural problem that can not be solved realistically is solved with bold ideas and long wisdom, and it also secures the system-resistant transformation and feminist progressiveness. Therefore, the imagination of local oral literature can be said to be national creativity that innovates science and technology and transforms society progressively.
