유아의 교육기관 적응에 대한 유아 자기조절력과 부모의 긍정적 양육태도 및 교사-유아 상호작용의 상대적 영향력 (The Relative Influence of Preschoolers’ Self-Regulation Ability, Positive Parenting Attitude and Teacher-Preschooler Interaction on Adaptation to Early Childhood Education Institutions)

초록

본 연구의 주 목적은 유아의 교육기관 적응에 대한 유아 자기조절력과 부모의 긍정적 양육태도 및 교사-유아 상호작용의 상대적 영향력을 살펴보는 것이었다. 본 연구의 대상은 B시와 K도에 소재하고 있는 유치원과 어린이집에 재원 중인 297명의 유아와 이들의 어머니 및 교사였다. 이들로부터 수집된 자료는 빈도분석, 상관관계분석 및 단계적 회귀분석을 통해 분석되었다. 분석 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 유아교육기관 적응과 유아의 자기조절력, 부모의 양육태도, 교사-유아 상호작용 간에는 유의미한 정적 상관관계가 있었다. 둘째, 유아의 자기조절력이 유아교육기관 적응에 가장 영향력이 큰 변인이었다. 셋째, 유아교육기관 적응의 하위 변인에 따라 부모의 긍정적 양육태도와 교사-유아 상호작용의 영향력은 달리 나타났다. 본 연구는 선행연구와 달리 유아교육기관 적응에 영향을 주는 유아의 개인변인, 부모변인, 교사변인을 종합적으로 살펴보았고, 상대적 영향력을 검토했다는 점에서 그 의의를 찾을 수 있다.

영어초록

Adaptation to early childhood education institutions is very important to preschoolers’ development. It is not easy task to them. In fact preschoolers who have difficulty in adjusting to early childhood education institutions become increasing. Recently many researchers have investigated factors that influence adaptation to early childhood education institutions. The main purpose of this study was to explore the relative influence of the preschoolers’ self-regulation ability, positive parenting attitude, and teacher-preschooler interaction on preschoolers’ adaptation to the educational institution. The subjects of this study consisted of 297 preschoolers and their mothers and teachers who live in B city and K Province. Collected data were analyzed using frequency analysis, Pearson correlation, and stepwise multiple regression analyses. Major results of the analyses were as follows. First, there are positive correlations among preschoolers’ adaptation to educational institutions, preschoolers’ self-regulation ability, positive parenting attitude, and teacher-preschooler interaction. Second, preschoolers’ self-regulation ability was the most influential variable to preschoolers’ adaptation to educational institutions. Third, influence of positive parenting attitude and teacher-preschooler interaction on preschoolers’ adaptation to educational institution was differ depending upon sub variables of preschoolers’ adaptation to educational institution. This study is significant in terms of considering preschoolers’ personal variable, parent variable and teacher variable comprehensively and investigating the relative influence of those variables.
