초록

본고는 성현들의 시간과 공간, 그리고 장소에 대한 표현의 의미를 연구한 것이다. 성현들의 시공간 장소에 관한 사색, 그들의 가치관은 시공간의 다양성과 변화 부분에서 탐색할 가치가 있다. 자연은 순환하며 도를 이루며 세상은 진행한다. 공자는 시간을 아껴 학습에 몰두하라고 하였다. 그리고 말보다 실천이 앞서야 한다고 하였다. 노자는 컵에 물을 채우려는 행위를 유위라 하고 빈 공간을 만드는 행위를 무위라 하였다. 주희는 천지변화는 자연질서의 속성이라고 하였다. 도와 하나가 된다는 것은 곧 변화 속에서 자유로울 수 있음을 말한다.
퇴계는 우주현상을 형이상인 이와 형이하인 기의 상호의존관계로 설명했다. 퇴계는 이와 기 모두가 사물을 변화시킬 수 있다고 하였다. 율곡은 기를 더 중시하였다. 학문은 필수요소라고 했다. 그런데 학문은 책 속에 있지 않고 삶 속에 있다고 하였다. 정약용도 기는 자립적인 존재라고 보았다. 그는 노년에의 공간을 육체적인 고통을 편안히 생각하며 대처했다. 그는 유배생활의 공간을 잘 활용했다. 현실의 빈곤을 일을 하며 제자를 가르쳤다. 지역민들과 유대를 강화하며 유배생활의 텅 빈 공간을 채웠다.
동양철학에서의 시간과 공간은 도를 이루며 변화하는 것으로 간주한 반면, 서양철학에서 시간과 공간은 일종의 범주로 간주되어왔다. 칸트는 시간과 공간을 대상인식의 선천적 원리로 구명한다. 하이데거는 실존의 체험에 의한 발생론적 입장에서, 하르트만은 의식의 반영에 의한 발생론적 입장에서 접근하고 있다.

영어초록

This research is on the meaning of ancient sages' time, space, and place. Meditation on time, space, place of ancient sages and their values are worthy of exploration. Everything we see in the world is space. Nature circulates to achieve a good morality and the world makes a progression. If time and space make a change, human role is changed. Confucius emphasized the moderation of time in his book, Analects of Confucius. He said “Everyone should absorb himself in studies to save time and practice is more important than words”. Lao-tzu said, "If the cup is filled with water, it can't hold more water." The action of filling a cup should be called ‘able’, and the action of making a empty space should be called ‘doing nothing’ in Tao Te Ching. Zhu Xi said, "Change of heaven and earth is the foundation of natural order." in Zhong Yong commentary book. Chuangtzu's said, "If morality is consolidated into one, it implies freedom in change". In a word, variety and change are the core of Chuangtzu's philosophy.
T'oegye explained that cosmic phenomenon is the correlative relationship of metaphysical reason and physical vigor. He succeeded to Zhu Xi philosophy.
He said the reason is fundamental law moving the vigor. He said that both reason and vigor can change everything. Yulgok more emphasized the vigor. Meanwhile, Yulgok lived with many poor relatives. Due to financial difficulties, he managed a blacksmith's workshop for 5 years. He had no free time and space. He said that learning is essential part of life, and it is not in a book but in a living. Chung yak yong thought vigor is self-reliant being. He coped with old age and physical pain by thinking comfortably. He made good use of the space of exiled life.
He plucked an arrowroot or weaved a net coping with real poverty. He taught not a few disciples and read many books. By doing it, he filled empty space of exiled life bonding with local residents. The time and space in oriental philosophy is considered to achieve a good morality. On the other hand, in western philosophy, time and space has been regarded as a type of a category. Kant explained time and space is as congenital principle of object recognition. Heidegger, from a developmental position by existential experience, Hartmann approaches developmental point of view by reflection of consciousness. In this research, I'd research the meaning and values of time and space. In eastern and western philosophy, the variety and change sphere are unsatisfied. I studies on this part deeply and in this research, I considered these parts of time and space.
