청년들에 대한 균형검사의 검사-재검사 신뢰도 (Test-retest reliability of balance tests in adolescents)

초록

본 연구의 목적은 균형측정시스템(Good Balance)을 사용하여 청년들에게 균형검사를 실시하여 검사－재검사 신뢰도를 알아보는 것이었다. 18-27세의 청년 61명(남자 30명, 여자 31명)을 대상으로 한 검사자가 각 대상자에게 2분 간격으로 두 번 균형검사를 실시하였다. 성별과 검사시기간 균형능력의 차이를 알아보기 위해 반복이원변량분석을 실시하였고 검사－재검사 신뢰도를 평가하기 위하여 급내 상관계수(Intraclass correlation coefficient; ICC)를 산출하였다. 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 눈을 뜨고 서기 조건, 눈을 감고 서기 조건 및 눈을 뜨고 양발로 일자서기 조건에서 검사시기간 좌우측방 흔들림 속도가 차이가 없었고 전후방 흔들림 속도가 차이가 없었다. 성별에 따라 눈을 뜨고 서기 조건과 눈을 뜨고 양발로 일자서기 조건에서는 좌우측방 흔들림 속도가 차이가 없었고 전후방 흔들림 속도가 차이가 없었다. 눈을 감고 서기 조건에서는 좌우측방 흔들림 속도는 차이가 있었으나 전후방 흔들림 속도는 차이가 없었다. 세 가지 조건에서 성별과 검사시기의 상호작용 효과는 없었다. 둘째, 눈을 뜨고 서기 조건에서 전후방 흔들림 속도(ICC＝.60)와 눈을 감고 서기 조건에서 좌우측방 흔들림 속도(ICC＝.61), 전후방 흔들림 속도(ICC＝.71), 그리고 눈을 뜨고 양발로 일자서기 조건에서는 좌우측방 흔들림 속도(ICC＝.47), 전후방 흔들림 속도(ICC＝.50)가 보통에서 높은 정도의 신뢰도를 보였다. 반면에 눈을 뜨고 서기 조건에서 좌우측방 흔들림 속도(ICC＝.38)는 신뢰도가 낮게 나타났다. 본 연구결과로 보아 이런 균형측정시스템을 사용하여 청년들의 균형검사는 균형능력에 대한 구체적인 정보를 제공해주는 수용할 만한 정도의 신뢰로운 측정이라고 할 수 있다.

영어초록

The purpose of this study was to assess the test-retest reliability of balance measurements in adolescents using balance measurement system(Good Balance). The subjects consisted of 31 female and 30 male adolescents from university students. This study used a repeated-measure design. Each subject completed all the different tests once and they were then repeated with 2 minutes in between. Repeated two-ways analysis of variance(ANOVA), representing two test times and both sexes, was calculated for each of the two dependent variables. Intraclass correlation coefficients(ICCs) were used to assess the test-retest reliability. The results of analysis are as followings. 1) There was not significant difference between test and retest for mediolateral sway speed and anterioposterior sway speed under conditions of normal standing with eyes open, normal standing with eyes closed and tandem standing with eyes open. There was not significant difference between males and females for mediolateral sway speed and anterioposterior sway speed under conditions of normal standing with eyes open and tandem standing with eyes open. There was significant difference between males and females for mediolateral sway speed, but not significant difference between males and females for anterioposterior sway speed under condition of normal standing with eyes closed. There were not the interaction effects between genders and test time under three conditions. 2) The reproducibility between test and retest was fair to good for anterioposterior sway speed(ICC＝.60) under condition of normal standing with eyes open, for mediolateral sway speed(ICC＝.61) and anterioposterior sway speed(ICC＝.71) under condition of normal standing with eyes closed, and for mediolateral sway speed(ICC＝.47) and anterioposterior sway speed(ICC＝.50) under condition of tandem standing with eyes open. The reproducibility between test and retest was not significant for mediolateral sway speed(ICC＝.38) under condition of normal standing with eyes open. Balance tests in adolescents using balance measurement system demonstrated acceptable levels of reliability.
