무용전공고등학생들이 인식하는 중요 품성요인 탐색 (Exploration of the artistic character factors required for the success in highschool dance major)

초록

The purpose of this study was exploring the character factors required for the success in highschool dance major and comparing to art and music major. The 120 subjects who are majors in art(dance=40, art=42, music=39) at S art school, were participated in the study and answered open questionnaire.
Based on qualitative research method are conducted.
The results are shown: First, the awareness of character factor that is recognized by artistic major students was started with total 22 preliminary topics and reorganized into 9 factors secondly, which were endeavor (107/23.21%,), creativity(88/19.09%), persistence(70/15.8%), self-control( 44/9.54%), emotional regulation(42/9.11%), confidence(35/7.59%), responsibility(33/7.16%), sence of respect (33/7.16%), concentration of learning(4/0.87%) in order of precedence. And the 9 topic were classified into 2 factors of character structure by Lickona’s(2005) that ‘emotional regulation’ and ‘sence of respect’ into ‘moral character’ and extra 7 factors into ‘performance character’ same as the former study. Secondly, the result of comparing other to dance major, showed that the dance has lower level of ‘creativity(10.74%)’ than the art(36.47%), and significant endeavor( 23.14%,), like the music(24.71%). Persistence(21.49%) also was stood out as a important a character factor in dance performance.
According to the result, the character factors can be required successfully through the dance performance in art. This result is discussed in concept of ‘Artistic Character.’
