초록

In modern Chinese, ‘Modality’ represents a subjective attitude to the speaker's proposition. Subjectivization is the most prominent semantic category. ‘Yao, Dei, Yinggai’ known as ‘Auxiliary Verb’ or ‘Modal Verb’ in the grammar books only are classified ‘Modal Verb’ on this research. ‘Modality’ is considered the semantics and the pragmatics features. Modal verb ‘Yao’ is the main meaning of ‘Dynamic Modality’ and is used as a volitive verb that reveals the will of the speaker. Modal verb ‘Dei’ is the main meaning of ‘Deontic modality’ and is used as “A verb that imposes a strong obligation to do”. Modal verb ‘Yinggai’ is the main meaning of ‘Deontic modality’ and is used as “A verb that imposes a duty to do in a moral sense”. The analysis results of ‘ChaGuan’ and ‘WoAiWoJia’ show that Modal verb ‘Yao,Dei, Yinggai’ have the main meaning of ‘modality’. The deontic modality ‘Yao’ is a demand made by the general needs of the speaker. From the Pragmatics point of view, the spoken word with ‘Dei’ gives the listener an objective obligation resulting from the external environment. The speaker from the Pragmatics point of view mainly uses ‘Yao’ as ‘Dynamic modality’ to express the speaker's will.
