동시대 예술의 미학적 담론 이해를 바탕으로 하는 현대 패션 연구 (A Contemporary Fashion Study Based on the Aesthetic Discourse of Contemporary Art)

초록

본 연구는 동시대 예술에서의 미적 담론과 동시대 패션의 주요 코드를 매개할 분석도구의 필요성을 인식하고, 포스트모더니즘 ‘이후’ 현대미술에서 논의되고 있는 ‘동시대성’에 대한 논의의 주요 개념을 패션 영역에 적용하여 불확정적인 현대패션을 새로운 관점으로 분석해보고자 하는 의도에서 비롯되었다. 동시대성에 대한 논의는 예술비평의 분야에서 이질적이면서도 중첩적인 용어로 등장하였으며, 본 연구는 이브 미쇼(Yves Michaud)의 포스트-포스트모더니즘(post-postmodernism)시대의 동시대미술, 니콜라 부리오(Nicolas Bourriaud)의 얼터모던(altermodern), 포스트프로덕션(postproduction), 래디컨트(redicant), 관계미학, 오쿠이 엔위저(Okwei Enwezor)가 제시한 4개의 서로 다른 지역적 모더니티 모델, 포스트-미디엄(post-medium)의 후기 매체 담론을 제시한 로잘린드 크라우스(Rosalind Krauss)의 논의를 바탕으로 동시대 예술의 개념을 이해하고 분석하였다. 본 연구는 동시대 예술의 주된 비평담론을 4가지로 추출하여 시공간의 동시적 표현, 매체의 확장과 혼합, 비서구권의 지역화된 모더니티, 참여의 관계성으로 분류하여 새로운 유형의 동시대 예술작품을 해석할 수 있는 담론을 제시하였다. 패션은 자기표현의 형태로 현대 사회문화의 표상이며 현재를 규명하는 도구라는 점에서 학술적 연구로 이어지고 있다. 이러한 근거를 바탕으로 앞서 추출한 동시대 담론을 패션 영역에 적용하여 사례고찰을 통해 동시대 담론의 표현적 특성을 분석하고 동시대 담론의 해석을 진행하였다. 패션 사례 고찰을 통해 구체화할 수 있는 표현적 특성은 시공간의 동시적 표현, 매체의 혼합을 통한 공감각적 표현, 다양성과 장소와 시간의 특수성 표현, 관계형 예술의 표현으로 특성을 분석할 수 있었다.

영어초록

The purpose of this study is to identify artistic discourse and aesthetic reason inherent in contemporary fashion from the viewpoint of discourse of contemporary art after post - modernism. In addition, the new paradigm of fashion is embodied in an integrated view of contemporary art discourse, and its expression method and characteristics are examined. This will be a test of hypotheses for communication between contemporary art and fashion, and will provide opportunities for exploring and understanding new analytical tools to understand the aesthetic phenomena of fashion in the future. Discussions about contemporary have emerged in heterogeneous and overlapping terms in the field of art criticism. This research is based on Yves Michaud's contemporary art in the post-postmodern era, Nicolas Bourriaud's altermodern, postproduction, redicant, Based on the discussion of relationship aesthetics, four different regional modernity models proposed by Okwei Enwezor and Rosalind Krauss's post-medium later discourse on media, the concept of contemporary art Understanding and analyzing. This study extracts the main critical discourses of contemporary art into four categories and analyzes new types of contemporary art works by classifying them into simultaneous expression of time and space, expansion and mixing of media, localized modernity in the non-Western region, and relationship of participation. Fashion is a form of self-expression, a representation of contemporary social culture and a tool to identify the present, leading to academic research. Based on this basis, the contemporary discourse extracted earlier was applied to the fashion domain, analyzed the expressive characteristics of the contemporary discourse through case study, and proceeded with the interpretation of the contemporary discourse.
