동 · 서양의 필로티 구조에 대한 조형성 연구 (Study on Formativeness of the Eastern and Western Pilotis Structure)

초록

세계 문화를 크게 양분하는 동양과 서양의 문화는 근본적인 세계관과 사유형식 등에 있어 많은 차이점을 가지며, 이에 의해 나타나는 건축의 다양한 특성들 또한 상당한 차이점을 보인다. 이에 본 연구에서는 동양 문화와 서양 문화의 본질적인 차이점에 대한 이해를 바탕으로 동·서양에서 차이점을 보이고 있는 건축요소의 한 형태인 필로티 구조(pilotis)의 조형성을 분석한다. 동· 서양의 필로티 구조의 사례를 분석하여 필로티 구조의 유형을 살피고 동· 서양의 필로티 구조의 구성적 특성, 기능적 특성, 의미적 특성을 기준으로 하여 조형적 특성을 도출하였다. 동· 서양 모두에서 나타나는 조형성은 주변적 환경과 관련되어 자연 재해와 인간 생활에서의 재해에 대응하고, 자연의 혜택에 최대한 순응하는 건축적 조형성을 갖는다. 이것은 자연을 훼손하지 않고 자연지형을 살리면서 주위 경관과 조화를 이루고 자연의 유입을 꾀하며 다른 공간으로 활용할 수 있다는 것이다. 이를 통해 필로티 구조는 건축물의 어떤 형상에도 이용 가능하며 입지환경이 까다롭거나 협소한 대지조건일 경우에 몇 개의 기둥을 사용하여 지면에서 들어 올려 한정된 공간을 더욱 다양한 공간으로 활용할 수 있다. 이것은 조형적 특성에서 보이는 동· 서양의 필로티 구조의 공통적 특성을 규명함으로써 이를 토대로 분절된 내부와 외부공간과의 유기적인 연계를 가능하게 하고 동· 서양간의 유기적인 조화 가능성으로 다양한 시도를 전개할 수 있는 것이다.

영어초록

In Eastern and Western culture that mainly divide the world culture, there are many differences in the fundamental world view and form of thinking, and the various architectural characteristics that are displayed accordingly show significant differences. Accordingly, the formativeness of pilotis structure that is a form of architectural element showing differences in the East and West is comparatively analyzed based on the fundamental differences of the Eastern and Western culture. Therefore, it examined the types of pilotis structure by analyzing the cases of pilotis structure in the East and West and the formative characteristics were deduced by using the formative characteristics, functional characteristics and conceptual characteristics of pilotis structure of the East and West as the comparative standards. The formativeness displayed in the East and West has the architectural formativeness of responding to natural disasters and the disasters in human lives in relation to the surrounding environment and adapting as much as possible to the benefits of nature. This means that the nature topography can be utilized while not damaging the nature and inflow of nature can be sought while creating harmony with the surrounding scenery and it can be utilized as different space. Through this, pilotis structure can be used in any type of shapes of building and, in the case of complicated locational condition or confined land, it allows limited space to be utilized into more diverse space by lifting it up from the surface using several pillars. It means that organic connection of segmented interior and exterior space is possible by examining the common characteristics of the pilotis structure of the East and West revealed in formative characteristics, and various attempts can be made through the possibility of organic harmony of the East and West.
