연산동고분군 출토 갑주의 특징과 의미 (Features and meaning of armor and helmet excavated from the Yeonsandong ancient tombs in Busan)

초록

연산동고분군은 삼국시대 부산지역을 대표하는 고총고분군이 축조된 유적이다. 이곳에서 출토된 다량의 갑주들은 당시 수장층의 무장적 성격 및 교류양상을 잘 보여준다. 출토된 갑주는 찰갑․종장판주․경갑․비갑 등의 토착계와 대금식갑주의 왜계로 구분할 수 있다.
토착계 갑주 중 찰갑은 5세기 이후 영남지역에 새롭게 등장하는 동환식의 외중식 구조이다. 5세기 3/4분기의 연산동 M10호분 출토 찰갑은 ‘ㄷ’자형 요찰, 세장한 소찰, 폭 넓은 수결공의 특징을 보이는데, 이는 경주지역의 찰갑과 유사하다. 이후 5세기 4/4분기의 연산동 M3호․M8호분의 찰갑은 상방하방형의 소찰, 2열식의 수결, ‘Ω’자형 요찰을 특징으로 하는데, 이는 찰갑제작의 효율성과 견고성을 높이기 위한 변화로 판단된다.
연산동고분군에서는 대금식갑주가 우리나라의 단일유적에서는 가장 많은 양이 출토되었고 이를 통해 당시 대왜교류의 양상을 알 수 있다. 당시 이 지역을 독자적 교역권이 없는 신라의 지방세력으로 보는 견해도 있으나 이들 갑주의 출토량과 삼각판혁철금부판갑 등의 특이한 사례를 통해 오히려 왜와의 교류에서 거점 역할을 담당하고 있음을 알 수 있다. 또한 낙동강을 매개로 한 여러 지역들과의 다양한 교류도 있었다.
당시 연산동고분군 축조세력은 찰갑과 마갑의 중장기병용 무구가 정착되는 단계로 대금식갑주의 중요성은 그리 높지 않았을 것으로 생각한다. 또한 판갑을 중심으로 한 부분 부장이 높다는 점에서 교역품의 하나로 입수되어 부장되었을 것으로 판단된다.
이상으로 연산동고분군 축조집단은 고총고분의 축조, 우수한 무장양상, 다양한 지역의 유물 부장 등을 통해 지역수장권을 갖춘 세력이라는 것을 알 수 있다

영어초록

The Yeonsandong ancient tombs which represented Busan region in the three kingdom period, are the remains of huge tombs were built. A lot of armor and helmet those’re excavated from the tombs, show the arming pattern and social experience at the time of heads well. It’s divided The armor and helmet unearthed, into two groups. One group is domestically made those’re scale armor, vertical plates helmet and Armor that protects arm(neck) etc.. Another group is horizontal plates armor and helmet produced by Japan.
After the 5th century, the scale armor of domestically made armor and helmet that structure is vest type and connected to outside, emerged to the Yeongnam province. It’s shown characteristics those’re the scale armor that it’s consisted of ‘ㄷ’-shaped plates, the slender scale armor and the vertical coupling holes with wide intervals. Thet had been excavated from Yeonsandong M10 tomb that it has been dated at about 5th century, the third quarter. The scale armor that it’s excavated from Yeonsandong M3, M8 tomb in the fourth quarter of 5th century, have characteristics those’re rectangular scale armor, ‘Ω’-shaped scale armor and two vertical coupling rows. It’s considered a change to improve efficiency and solidity of scale armor production.
It has been excavated the most amount of the horizontal plates armor and helmet from the Yeonsandong ancient tombs in korea. This allows to know aspects of the exchanges with Japan in those days. There is also the views the tombs group like Silla's local powers that they did’t have own separate right of trading. But it’s observed an exceptional cases those’re the amount of which have been unearthed these armor and helmet, the plates armor that it’s charged protecting neck. So it's obvious what the tombs group had been in charge of strong point for exchanging with Japan. There was also a variety of exchanges with Gaya forces through the Nakdong river.
The construction forces of the Yeonsandong ancient tombs seem to be considered it wasn't too high importance of the horizontal plates armor and helmet that it’s believed to be for infantry at stages of setting weapons for cavalry who’s heavily armed with scale armor, bard. And it would have buried with centralization of armingas one of the imports, in that a greater percentage of section buring that plates armor is always included.
It’s able to recognize the construction forces of the Yeonsandong ancient tombs were the forces with the head of the area, considering construction of huge tombs, pattern of arms that it’s excellent, relics buring from various regions etc. with it.
