초록

기존 논의를 중심으로 대중극의 개념을 규정한 후, 20년대와 30년대를 각각 대표하는 「날아가는 공작」과 「사랑에 속고 돈에 울고」의 창작기법에 따른 미적 구조를 인물과 갈등과 갈등해소와 연출의 측면에서 살펴본 결과는 다음과 같다.
두 작품은 인물 양상의 측면에서 공히 ‘인물 간 대립 구도’와 ‘전통적 성역할의 전도’와 ‘러브라인의 중첩’의 국면을 보인다. 그럼에도 ‘후작’은 ‘전작’과 달리 인물 간 대립 구도가 다양한 층위로 제시되는 차별성을 띤다.
두 작품은 공히 편지와 금전과 신분 등을 매개로 한 갈등 양상을 연출한다. 주인공의 사랑을 방해하는 반동세력은 편지나 금전을 매개로 음모를 꾸며서 그들의 뜻을 관철시키거나 자신의 신분을 내세워 주인공을 압박하고 궁지로 내몬다. 갈등 유발의 매개인 편지의 경우 ‘후작’은 ‘전작’과 달리 그 양상이 복잡하고 다양하다. 갈등의 매개인 금전은 ‘전작’에서는 직접적 원인으로, ‘후작’에서는 근원적 원인으로 존재한다. 신분을 매개로 한 갈등의 경우, 빈부 격차로 불거지는 ‘전작’에 비해 ‘후작’은 이에 더하여 귀족과 평민의 신분 차이로 인해 발생한다.
‘전작’의 갈등해소가 민족적 자각을 중심으로 이루지는 것과 달리 ‘후작’의 그것은 폭로나 증거물 제시로써 해소되는, 보다 진전된 국면을 보인다. ‘전작’의 갈등이 극의 흐름과는 동떨어진 우연적인 장면으로 부자연스럽게 해결되는 반면, 후작의 그것은 암시와 복선 등을 기반으로 한 치밀한 전략으로 해소된다.
두 작품은 인물의 대사, 배우의 행동성, 무대 공간의 의미성에서 차이점보다 공통점을 주로 보인다. 유희적 장면의 연출, 언어유희의 구사, 사건 전개와 무관한 활극(活劇)의 등장, 캐릭터의 정황에 따라 양분되는 공간의 연출 등에서 유사점이 두드러진다.

After concepts of popular characters of general public drama regulate around the argument of existing, each popular characters of the typical public drama in the twenties and thirties, that is, after consideration aspect of figures, conflict, conflict resolution, direction the aesthetic structure of "Flying Peacock" and "Cheated by money & shed tears by love" is as in the following.
In aspect of the casting figures two literatures are entering state likes 'the conflict between characters', 'overturning of traditional gender role', 'reiteration of love line'. nevertheless, "Cheated by money & shed tears by love" is different to "Flying Peacock" the conflict between characters are proposed variously assumed differentiation.
Thru two drama direct aspect of conflict through letters, money and social status. The force of reaction disturbing love of a main character is press a main character and drive it out a dead end that ornament a trap letter and money by a medium hold fast the their meaning and brandish status of oneself. A case of the letter that is mediation of trouble induction "Cheated by money & shed tears by love" is different to "Flying Peacock" that aspect is complicated and various. Money that mediation of trouble is by the direct causes on "Flying Peacock", and exist by the original causes on "Cheated by money & shed tears by love". A case of a trouble to have called status by mediation, because have risen the earning differentials, "Cheated by money & shed tears by love" is happened by a status difference of a noble and a commoner besides "Flying Peacock".

Two drama is shows common point and difference regarding stage direction in the sides of dialogue of a person, an action of a actor, meaning of stage space. A case of a dialogue, "Cheated by money & shed tears by love" is show more natural conversation between people and aspect of communication rather than "Flying Peacock". With discrimination points, two drama has shared points likes direction of a scene to have let you laugh and driving of a linguistic playgame.
