좌식행동 질문지의 타당도 검증 (Validation of Sedentary Behavior Questionnaires)

초록

이 연구는 좌식행동 및 신체활동 준거검사(GT3XBT, ActivPAL, Log-Diary)를 활용하여 다양한 좌식행동 질문지(PAST, TASST, GPAQ_SB, IPAQ_SB, SBQ)의 타당도를 검증하고, 좌식행동 시간을 보다 정확히 추정할 수 있는질문지를 확인하고자 하였다. 연구 참여자는 연구 목적과 내용을 충분히 이해한 후 자발적으로 참여 의사를 밝힌S시에 거주하는 만 19~64세 건강한 성인 51명이었으며, 7일간 일상생활 신체활동 측정과 5가지 좌식행동 질문지를통해 자료를 수집하였다. 수집된 자료는 각 검사 도구의 좌식행동 시간에 대한 기술통계분석, 준거검사와 질문지간의 상관분석, 준거검사와 질문지의 오차율(MAPE, %) 분석, 그리고 추정오차를 평가하기 위한 Bland-Altman plot 분석을 수행하였다. 분석 결과, 전반적으로 ActivPAL과 좌식행동 질문지 간의 상관이 높고 추정오차가 낮게나타났다. 1일 전 좌식행동 질문지 중에서는 PAST보다 TASST의 상관이 높고 오차가 낮았다. 평균 1일 좌식행동질문지 중에서는 GPAQ_SB와 IPAQ_SB가 SBQ보다 준거검사와 상관이 높고 오차가 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 1일 전 좌식행동 질문지는 평균 1일 질문지보다 전반적으로 준거검사와 상관이 더 높고 오차가 더 낮았다. 이러한결과를 바탕으로 좌식행동 객관적 준거검사로 ActivPAL 사용을 제안하며, 주관적 좌식행동 질문지는 1일 전(어제) 좌식행동 평가 시 다문항 질문지 형태의 TASST, 평균 1일 좌식행동 평가 시 단일문항 질문지 형태의 GPAQ_SB 및 IPAQ_SB 사용을 제안하고자 한다. 대규모 조사나 시간과 비용이 제한된 연구에서 GPAQ이나 IPAQ를 우선적으로활용하되, 연구 목적에 따라 TASST를 보완적 도구로 추가하여 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

영어초록

This study aimed to validate various sedentary behavior questionnaires, including PAST, TASST, GPAQ_SB, IPAQ_SB, and SBQ, by comparing them against objective reference measures of physical activity and sedentary behavior (GT3XBT, ActivPAL, and Log-Diary). The objective was to identify the most accurate questionnaire for estimating sedentary behavior time, thereby enhancing the reliability of sedentary behavior assessment tools. The study included 51 healthy adults aged 19–64 years residing in S city region, who voluntarily agreed to participate after fully understanding the purpose and details of the study. Over a 7-day period, participants’ daily physical activity and sedentary behavior time were measured using objective tools and various sedentary behavior questionnaires. The collected data were analyzed to perform descriptive statistics of sedentary behavior time, correlation analysis between reference measures and questionnaires, mean absolute percentage error (MAPE%), and Bland-Altman plots for estimation errors. The results showed a higher correlation and lower estimation error between ActivPAL and the sedentary behavior questionnaires. Among the single-day recall questionnaires, TASST demonstrated higher correlation and lower error compared to PAST. Among the average daily questionnaires, GPAQ_SB and IPAQ_SB showed higher correlation and lower error compared to SBQ. Additionally, single-day recall questionnaires generally exhibited higher correlation and lower estimation error with the reference measures compared to average daily questionnaires. As a result, ActivPAL is recommended as an objective reference for measuring sedentary behavior. For subjective sedentary behavior measures, the multi-item questionnaire TASST is suggested for assessing previous-day (yesterday) sedentary behavior, while the single-item questionnaires GPAQ_SB and IPAQ_SB are recommended for assessing average daily sedentary behavior. For large-scale surveys or studies with time and budget constraints, GPAQ and IPAQ should be prioritized. Moreover, TASST could serve as a complementary questionnaire depending on specific research objectives.
