가정어린이집 원장의 핵심역량 중요도-보유도 분석 (The Analysis on Importance and Retention of Core Competencies in the Home Daycare Center Directors)

초록

본 연구는 가정어린이집 원장의 핵심역량에 대한 IPA(중요도-보유도)를 분석함으로써 가정어린이집 원장의 핵심역량 수준을 살펴보고자 하였다. 이를 위해, C시의 영유아 교육기관에 재직 중인 가정어린이집 원장 220명을 연구대상으로 온라인 설문 조사를 하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS 22.0 통계프로그램을 이용하여 기술통계, Cronbach’s α, t-test, IPA 분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 가정어린이집 원장의 핵심역량에대한 중요도와 보유도 전체수준은 상당히 높은 것으로 나타났고 중요도와 보유도 모두 대인관계역량이 가장 높게나타났다. 둘째, 가정어린이집 원장의 핵심역량과 하위역량에 대한 중요도-보유도 차이를 살펴본 결과, 가정어린이집 원장의 핵심역량과 하위역량 모두 전체 평균에서 통계적으로 유의미한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 가정어린이집 원장의 핵심역량에 대한 IPA 분석결과, 1사분면(현수준 유지)에는 직무역량, 대인관계역량, 2사분면(과잉노력 지양)에는 문제해결역량, 3사분면(낮은 우선순위)에는 리더십역량, 자기계발역량, 4사분면(노력의 집중)에포함된 가정어린이집 원장의 핵심역량은 없는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구결과는 향후 가정어린이집 원장의 전문성증진을 위한 승급교육 및 직무연수, 기타 보수교육 프로그램 개발 시, 교육내용 선정 및 지원방안 모색을 위한 기초자료 제공에 도움이 될 것으로 기대한다.

영어초록

This study analyzed the importance and retention on the core competencies of the home daycare center directors through IPA (Importance and Performance Analysis). To this end, the online questionnaire survey was conducted targeting 220 home daycare center directors who are working at infant childhood education institutions in C city. The collected materials were carried out descriptive statistics, Cronbach’s α, t-test, and IPA analysis by using SPSS 22.0 statistical program. The findings are as follows. First, the whole level of the importance and retention on the core competencies in the home daycare center directors appeared to be considerably high. Both the importance and the retention were indicated to be the highest in interpersonal relationship competency. Second, as a result of having figured out a difference between importance and retention of core competencies and sub competencies in the home daycare center directors, both the core competencies and the sub competencies in the home daycare center directors were shown to have a statistically significant difference in the overall average. Third, in consequence of having parsed IPA analysis on the core competencies of the home daycare center directors, it was seen that there are no core competencies of the home daycare center directors, which are included in all (maintaining current level) with the job competency and the interpersonal relationship competency, in sin & csc (avoiding excessive effort) with the problem solving competency, in tan & cot (low priority) with the leadership competency and the self- development capability, and in cos (concentrating on an effort). The results of this study are expected to be likely helpful for providing basic data aiming at selecting the educational contents and seeking the support measures when developing the promotion education, job training, and other continuing education programs to promote the expertise of the home daycare center directors down the road.
