일제강점기 여성잡지의 일본어 음운 한글 표기 연구 ―『우리의가뎡』을 중심으로― (A Study on the Korean Notation of Japanese Phonemes in Women's Magazines During the Japanese Colonial Era －Focusing on "Our Home"－)

초록

本稿は日帝強占期に発行された女性雑誌『우리의가뎡(私たちの家庭)』の日本語学習欄を対象にして、日本語音韻のハングル表記を考察したもので、その分析を通じて1910年代の日本語音韻に対する認識およびハングル表記の特徴を調べた。このため、1910年前後に発行された日本語学習書6種と『우리의가뎡』の日本語学習欄の日本語音韻ハングル表記を比較·対照した。雑誌の日本語音韻ハングル表記は、韓国語に対応する音素のないタ行のチとツ、そして濁音表記で多少差を見せたが、日本語学習書のハングル表記の範囲を大きく外れていない。 次に、日本語の例文のハングル表記は凡例に従うものの、現実の発音に近い表記を優先したことを確認した。 すなわち、文字転写表記法ではなく、実際の発音に従う音声転写表記法を優先したものである。これを通じて「朝鮮夫人と内地人の交流」のために連載した日本語学習欄の日本語音韻ハングル表記が、日本人との交流を通じて自然に朝鮮家庭に日本文化を浸透させ、日本で行われていた国民教育の対象を朝鮮夫人にまで拡張することを目的とした『우리의가뎡』の創刊背景に符合することが確認できた。

영어초록

This study examines the Korean notation of Japanese phonemes in the Japanese language study section of the women's magazine "우리의가뎡-Our Home," published during the Japanese colonial era. It explores the perception of Japanese phonemes in the 1910s and the characteristics of Korean notation. To this end, I compared and contrasted six Japanese language study books published around 1910 with the phonetic notation used in the Japanese language study section of "Our Home." The Japanese phonetic transcription in the magazine displayed some differences, particularly in the representation of Japanese sounds that do not have corresponding phonemes in Korean and in the murky writing of the Japanese language. However, these differences remained largely within the scope of Korean writing as presented in Japanese study books. Additionally, it was observed that the Korean transcription of Japanese example sentences adhered to the legend but prioritized a notation that closely reflected actual pronunciation. In other words, the focus was on phonetic transcription according to real pronunciation rather than on literal character transcription. This analysis confirms that the Japanese phonetic Korean writing in the Japanese learning column, serialized to facilitate exchanges between Korean wives and the Japanese, aligns with the founding purpose of "Our Home." The publication aimed to subtly integrate Japanese culture into Korean families through these exchanges and to extend the reach of Japan’s national education to Korean wives.
