무용 창작자를 위한 프리 프로덕션의 활용 방안 (Utilization of Pre-production in Dance Creation for Choreographers)

초록

Today in contemporary dance performance art, choreographers under- take various preparatory stages in conceiving and staging a piece. The exploration process of ideas and themes for the work is approached with a sense of responsibility and pressure. The choreographer's creative proc- ess in researching the concept of the piece's theme necessitates in-depth preliminary work, specifically within the realm of collaboration, namely, ‘the pre-production’ phase. It is within this context that the study has recognized the importance of engaging in thorough pre-production work with collaborators. After conducting pre-production research, it has been recognized that through the detailed planning and documentation process undertaken by choreographers and planners post-pre-production, a seam- less production can be organized. Therefore, this study aims to present the potential for developing a program to support the pre-production phase of dance performances, intending to provide insights into the crea- tive methods of producing dance performance art. The aim is to provide an environment where creators can develop ideas for feasible perform- ances by transcending the constraints of time and space, using photo- graphs as visual materials to discuss and share stories from different perspectives. Furthermore, the objective is to contemplate the con- ceptualization of the dance creation process, and through a program de- signed for pre-production in dance performances, present the potential and possibilities of utilizing the pre-dance creation process.
