초록

<老松堂日本行錄>은 宋希璟(1376~1446)이 1420년 일본에 回禮使로 왕래하면서 견문한 것을 기록한 시집이다. 이 시집에는 序跋文을 포함 총 202題 230首의 詩가 수록되어 있다. 사행 기록은 날짜별로 이동거리나 그날의 특이한 사항을 일기체로 서술하는 것이 일반적인데, 노송당은 이러한 것들을 특이하게도 모두 시로 기록했다. 또한 詩序의 적극적인 활용을 통해 작품의 배경 및 내용, 일본의 독특한 풍습 등을 보충해 소개했다.
노송당은 회례사의 신분으로 일본을 왕래했는데, 1419년 대마도 정벌이 감행된 이듬해였기에 양국 간의 정치적 긴장감이 고조된 상태였다. 이러한 정치적 배경 하에서 회례사로 가게 되었기에 일본에 대한 노송당의 인식은 출발자체부터 부정적일 수밖에 없었다. 더구나 대마도의 해적들은 지속적으로 조선의 해안을 침범해 노략질을 하고 있었기에, 대마도에 대한 노송당의 인식은 고울 리가 없었다. 이러한 연유로 인해, 대마도를 해적의 소굴로 받아들이면서 대마도 정벌에 대한 정당성을 부여했다. 또한 조선에 귀속되기를 바라는 대마도 島主의 의도에 대해서도 자신들을 위한 임시방편의 술수로 규정하면서 극단적인 배타의식을 드러냈다.
노송당은 일본 사행 길에 수많은 절을 경유하면서 본 일본 불교의 이단적인 모습을 상세히 기록했다. 백성의 절반이 중이라서, 농사일이나 관가의 일을 할 사람이 없다고 하면서 불교를 지나치게 숭상하는 폐단을 지적했다. 好衣好食하며 無爲徒食하는 일본 불교의 실상에 대해 부정적인 인식을 드러냈는데, 특히 절에서 행해지고 있는 중과 여승 사이의 음란한 실태에 대해서는 비판의 수위를 한 층 높였다. 노송당 역시 성리학적 가치관에 물들어 있었기 때문에, 불교를 극단적으로 숭상하는 일본 불교에 대해 부정적일 수밖에 없었지만, 당대 실제 일본 불교의 이단적 모습에 대해서는 질타를 서슴지 않았다. 그렇다고 해서 일본 불교를 전면적으로 부정한 것은 아니다. 학식이 뛰어난 중에 대해서는 칭송을 아끼지 않았다.
일본의 삼모작이나 祭禮에 대해서는 긍정적인 시선을 두었다. 水利와 기후로 인해 삼모작이 가능하지만, 불교의 극단적 숭상으로 인해 풍요롭게 살아가지 못하는 농촌의 현실을 안타까워했다. 또한 부모의 제례를 받들 듯 前王의 제례에 삼가는 모습을 긍정적으로 묘사했으며, 토지의 조세를 사사롭게 쓰면서 자식에게 대물림하는 조세 제도에 대해서는 희롱하는 뜻을 비쳤다. 특히 당대 일본에서 행해지고 있는 淫風을 비판적인 시선으로 보았다. 도처에 있는 윤락녀와 그들의 작태 및 궁 안에서 행해지고 있는 男色의 음풍을 그대로 시편에 담았다.

<NosongdangIlbonrok> is poetical works that records observation about Japan who Songheekyung(1376~1446) is a man who a return visit through come and go to Japan since 1420. This poetical works put total 202subjects and 230poems including a preface and an epilog on record. Ordinary a private trip record usually describes diaries like movement by the number of days or a peculiar matter the day. But, Nosongdang was record a peculiar of this sort by poems. Also, through a positive practical use a poem and a letter, he introduced a background and a substance of a work, a inimitable manners of Japan, etc.
Nosongdang is come and go at Japan by a man returning a courtesy. This is Daemado conquest was taken decisive action, at 1419 after. Because, between administrative tension two countries were get into high spirits. At such a political background, He went Japan by a man returning a courtesy. So, Nosongdang`s recognition about Japan was cannot help doing negative from departure. Moreover, pirates of Daemado continuously plunder that infringement the seashore of Choson. Therefore, Nosongdang about Daemado would fine that. By the reason, He was assent to Daemado by a haunt of pirates. and than He allowed justness about Daemado conquest. Also, he exposed that hope be restored to in Choson about an intent the master of a Daemado. and he prescribed by an artifice stopgap measure and than he disclosed extremes consciousness of exclusion.
Nosongdang passed through many Buddhist temple at Japanese private trip. Besides, He saw heathenism of Japanese Buddhism, and he wrote out. He said that a half of the people is a buddhist. so, he said that there was nobody which a farm work and a government work. and than, he pointed out an abuse like worship too much. He exhibited negative recognition about the actual circumstances of the Japanese Buddhism that living in clover(好衣好食) and eat idle bread(無爲徒食). however, specially he commented far harder about gaudy the actual state at a Buddhist temple between a Buddhist priest and a Buddhist nun at a Buddhist temple. Nosongdang also has a value of Sung Confucianism. because, he has no option but to negative about Japanese buddhism that extremely respected a buddhism. but, the present age, he was given a scolding about heathenism of Japanese buddhism. For all that, He I was not generally negating Japanese Buddhism. He was not miserly applause about scholarship was excellent.
He considered positive one’s gaze about raised three crops a year of Japan or ancestor memorial ceremonies. Owing to Utilization of water and climate, Japan is possible to raise three crops a year. but, Owing to an extreme respect of the buddhism, He was anxious about didn`t abundant actuality of a farm He judged to poor a farm actuality that didn`t an affluent society because of an extreme respect of buddhism. Also, He positively delineated a eschewed state at ancestor memorial ceremonies of the last period King like have ancestor memorial ceremonies of parents. And He appeared that privately used taxes of the land and teased about succeed taxes. Specially, He saw critical one’s gaze a lewd manners at Japan. He put into poems just as he saw and listened that a lewd manner like a fallen woman at all over, and pederasty at a palace.
