초록

이 글은 포스트휴머니즘의 대안적 인간론을 비판하고 기독교 신학의답변을 제시함으로써 코로나 팬데믹 이후 회복될 교회와 세계를 위해 ‘참된 인간됨의 본질과 인간다운 삶의 조건’을 재확인하는 것을 목표로 한다.
코로나의 세계적 대유행은 인간성에 관한 근본적인 질문을 던지면서 세계관적 전환을 예고하고 있다. 특히 4차 산업혁명론자들은 과학기술이 전염병 상시화 시대의 돌파구라고 주장하며 코로나 팬데믹을 세계사적 전환의 ‘위대한 리셋’으로 삼자고 말한다. 4차 산업혁명론의 배후에는 ‘시간과 공간의 소멸’을 통해 인간의 생물학적 삶의 토대를 해체하고 인간과 기계의 융합을 통한 기술진화론적 재구성을 도모하는 포스트휴머니즘이 있다.
포스트휴머니즘은 인간과 기계 사이의 경계를 지우고 물리적 세계에거하는 인간의 생물학적 생명을 안드로이드, 사이보그, 클론 등의 기계와 융합을 통해 기계적 생명으로 진화시키려 한다. 포스트휴머니즘에게 시간과 공간과 몸은 인간의 확장을 방해하는 요소이고 영혼은 인간과 기계의 융합에 어울리지 않는 개념이다. 이 낯선 세계관은 인간을 메커니즘으로 보고 인간의 영혼을 알고리즘으로 이해하며, 인간의 삶이 가상현실이나 증강현실을 통해서 연장될 수 있다고 주장한다. 포스트휴머니즘은 우리 시대가 빚은 기술유토피아적 이데올로기이자 반기독교적 우상이다.
이에 반해, 기독교 신학의 인간론은 초월적 준거점인 창조주 하나님께인간의 본질과 인간다운 삶이 무엇인지를 묻는다. 시간과 공간, 생물학적몸, 그리고 물리적 세계는 인간이 그 안에서 살아가야 하는, 하나님의 선물로서 ‘주어진’ 조건이다. 하나님의 형상으로서 인간의 빛이 반영되고 비춰야 하는 곳은 바로 시간과 공간과 관계라는 언약적 질서이다. 인간다운삶은 시간 속에서 실현되고, 공간을 오가며 맺는 관계 속에서 이뤄진다.
하나님의 형상으로서 인간은 하나님과 동료 인간과 세계와 맺는 삼중적관계 속에서 살아가는 공동체적 인간(homo relationis)이다. 시간과 공간의 순례자(homo viator)로서 그리스도인은 종말론적 시간과 하나님 나라를 산다. 구속의 시간과 거룩한 공동체적 관계 속에서 우리는 인간이 되고그리스도인이 된다. 시간(時間)과 공간(空間), 그리고 그 안에서 살아가는인간(人間)을 하나님은 소멸시키지 않고 구속하실 것이다.
결론적으로, 포스트휴머니즘의 허망한 세계관에 맞서, 기독교 신학은시간과 공간과 관계의 장(場)이 참된 인간됨과 인간다운 삶을 위한 하나님의 언약적 질서로서 환원 불가능한 조건임을 힘주어 말해야 한다.

영어초록

The article aims to reaffirm ‘the essence of true humanity and the conditions of human life’ for the church and the world to be restored after the corona pandemic by criticizing the alternative anthropology of posthumanism and presenting answers from Christian theology.
The global pandemic of Corona is predicting a worldview shift by asking fundamental questions about humanity. In particular, the Fourth Industrial Revolutionists argue that science and technology is a breakthrough in the era of constant epidemic disease, and say that the corona pandemic will be ‘The Great Reset’ of the transformation of world history. Behind the Fourth Industrial Revolution theory is posthumanism, which dismantles the foundation of human biological life through ‘the disappearance of time and space’ and promotes technological evolutionary reconstruction through the fusion of humans and machines.
Posthumanism erases the boundary between man and machine and tries to evolve human biological life in the physical world into mechanical life through fusion with machines such as androids, cyborgs, and clones. For posthumanism, time, space, and body are elements that hinder human expansion, and the soul is a concept unsuitable for the fusion of humans and machines. This unfamiliar worldview sees humans as mechanisms and understands human souls as algorithms, and argues that human life can be extended through VR(virtual reality) or AR(augmented reality). Posthumanism is a technological-utopianism ideology and an anti-Christian idol invented by our time.
On the other hand, the anthropology of Christian theology asks the Creator God, the transcendent reference point, what human nature and human life are. Time and space, the biological body, and the physical world are the ‘given’ conditions as a gift from God through which humans must live.
It is the covenant order of time, space, and relationship that human light should be reflected and illuminated as the image of God. Human life is realized in time and in a relationship that goes back and forth between spaces. As Imago Dei, human is a homo relationis, living in a threefold relationship between God, his/her fellow human, and the world. As a pilgrim of time and space(homo viator), Christians live eschatological time and the kingdom of God. In the time of redemption and holy communal relationship, we become human and Christian. God will redeem time, space, and humans living in it without extinguishing it.
In conclusion, against the vain worldview of posthumanism, Christian theology must emphasize that the field of time, space, and relationship is an irreducible condition as God’s covenant order for true humanity and human life.
