초록

In this study, it is to understand the meaning and symbolism of representative Sun and Moon among mural materials of Koguryo tomb, Korean traditional and cultural contents, and to develop the appropriate motive for infant and children. Besides, it is to make infant and children find the beauty of Korean traditional clothes using this, and to improve the inconvenience of Korean traditional clothes, so to develop the fashion product of new Korean traditional clothes for infant and children, easy to wear in ordinary life. Sun and Moon are the used patterns to upper jacket among court dress of twelve jangbok, the biggest formal dress for king in Chosun dynasty, and the source of day and night, and the material of pattern to symbolize the operation of universe. Also, despite the subject of awe just like constellations, Sun and Moon in the sky have been really the subject of eternity with endless dream and mystery when young, and they were the subject of admiration, which always exists in various tales and myths, etc., to remind the realm of childhood, regardless of East and West. We have developed four textile applying Sun patterns and four textile Moon patterns, and produced four new Korean traditional clothes which male, female infant and children can wear, using this. For upper jacket, it produces thevest type, chollik type, and traditional jacket type, reviving the image of Korean traditional clothes as much as possible. For bottoms, it makes in the westernized design in reducing length and attaching pocket, to harmonize with upper jacket and to give activity. It is expected that the development of fashion product for Korean traditional clothes emphasizing the suitable symbolic story-telling for infant and children can enhance the possibility of formation of positive image for traditional clothes in infant and childhood.
