多民族文學史觀의 가능성 문제에 관한 검토 (The Study on The Issues of Possibility of Multinational Chinese ancient literature history)

초록

The question I’d like to find out briefly in the manuscript is some sort of predominance principle of Han ethnic and underestimate about the minority races when recording the history. Multinational literature formed Chinese literature which expresses diversity and unification. So the viewpoint of multinational history of literature was fundamentaly formed not by dichotomy between Han race and other minority races but by cognizance that most of the Chinese literary history is founded by Han race.
The reason we have to settle multinational literary standpoint is that the relative requirement for literature is increasing. This means that not only should we acknowledge the majority of literary history formed by Han people but also should we assert that numerous interactions leaded the Chinese history.
These thoughts of multiracial history of literature is one of the attempts to get over Sinocentrism which argues Ancient China is a center of the World Civilizations. The process to settle this thought has been efforts to make reconciliation and coexistence between two.
In conclusion, we see the perspective of multinational literary history that we can’t get away from bigoted view because this term could be considered to emphasize only originality by expressing conflicts with Han ethnic. Commonly, they proceeds to universalism. Writing nationality literature history is the important circumstances of the comprehensive and multinational history of Ancient Chinese literature.
However, they have to point out the limitations. If they don’t diffrentiate boundaries between a center and circumferences and then only endeavor to unify various cultures, this can be excessive farfetched view and finally confronts viviparous limit. Especially, what we should be on alert in Han centralism is having own perspective from peacemaking and coexistence.
Of course, although it is the fact that everyone exerts themselves to find out own identity in a huge fence called ‘Han nationality centralism’, we have to precaution of Ancient Chinese literature which comes from overestimating the literature of minority races.
