연변지역 다문화의 형성과 민족 정체성 문제 (The Formation of Multi-culture and National Identity in Yanbian Area)

초록

본문은 역사학, 민족학 시각에서 공통내집단 정체성(共同内群体认同) 이론을 이용해 역사적으로 연변지역 다문화 형성 과정과 그 역사 기억을 바탕으로 한 사회적 문화구조가 이 지역 민족화합과 단결 그리고 중화민족정체성 형성에 어떤 영향을 주었는지를 검토한 논문이다.
주지하다시피 연변지역의 문화는 중국 동북 지방문화의 일부분으로서 동북아의 오랜 역사의 소용돌이 속에서 만주족의 선조인 여진인(⼥真⼈)을 주체로 한 고대 문화와한족과 조선족을 주체로 하는 근대 문화가 서로 어울려 민족문화의 다양성을 갖추어져있다. 뿐만 아니라 여러 민족이 함께 어깨를 겯고 피땀을 흘려가면서 연변지역을 개척하고 건설한 공동한 역사가 이 지역문화의 특점이다. 연변조선족자치주 창립 70여 년이래 역사가 증명하다시피 여러 민족의 공유한 이런 역사 기억과 그 유사성은 연변의여러 민족이 중화민족공동체의식(中华民族共同体意识)을 형성하는 데 중요한 역할을하였으며 오늘날 중국 민족 지역에서 가장 민족 단합이 잘 되고 안정된 변방 지역으로평가받는다. 본 문은 이런 점에 착안하여 고대에서 근대에 이르기까지 연변지역 여러민족이 중국 동북 변강(边疆)을 함께 개척하고 건설한 역사 기억과 그 속에서 맺어진우정 속에서 서로 상대를 존중하고 평등하게 대하는 것이 현재 이 지역 공통내집단 정체성을 형성하는 커다란 원동력이 되었다는 결론을 지었다.
본 연구는 현재 중국에서 한창 진행되는 중화민족정체성 의식 건설에 시사하는 바가매우 크다. 민족 정체성 의식이란 하나의 심리 활동으로 여러 민족 공감대 형성에서 중화민족이 공유할 수 있는 역사 기억을 발견하고 그것을 사회기억으로 승화시키는 것이매우 중요한 것이다.

영어초록

From the perspective of history and ethnology, according to the theory of common in-group identity, based on the historical formation process of multi-culture in Yanbian area and the historical memory of this area, this paper explores how the social and cultural structure affects the national integration, unity and the formation of Chinese national identity in this area.
As mentioned in this paper, the culture of Yanbian area is not only a part of the long history of Northeast Asia, but also an important part of the culture of Northeast China.The culture of Yanbian area has two sources, one is the ancient culture of the Jurchen period, the ancestor of the Manchu nationality, and the other is the modern culture formed by the integration of the Han nationality and the Korean nationality in China.Yanbian area is a multi-culture formed by the interweaving of these two cultures.At the same time, all nationalities shoulder the important task of opening up and building Yanbian area together, and this common history becomes the unique feature of the culture of this area.The history of more than 70 years since the establishment of Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture has proved that the historical memory and similarity shared by all ethnic groups have become an important factor in shaping the consciousness of the Chinese nation's community, making Yanbian the most United and stable frontier area in China.
On this basis, this paper concludes that from ancient times to modern times, the historical memory of all ethnic groups in Yanbian area in jointly opening up and building the northeast frontier of China and the friendship established in this process, especially the mutual respect and equal treatment of all ethnic groups, have played an important role in promoting the formation of the current common group identity in this area. This study is of great significance to the promotion of national identity in China. Ethnic identity is a kind of psychological activity, which is of great significance by forming the resonance among ethnic groups and discovering the historical memory that the Chinese nation can share, and transforming it into social memory.
