백제금동대향로 다관악기의 재현을 위한 연구 (A Study on Pan-flute with Multi-pipes of the Gilt-Bronze Incense Burner of Baekjae for Reproduction)

초록

This paper focuses on a pan flute with multi-popes among five instruments engraved in the Gilt-Bronze Incense Burner of Baekjae. Reproduction attempted in 2005 was failed since reproduction was not based on serious research. With this in mind, this paper focuses the construction and structure of pan flute with multi-pipes for reproduction.
First, this paper examined its construction and structure based on drawing. Second, the names of this instrument was examined. Finally, this paper examined the highest and lowest notes and pitch range of the instrument after reproduction which were produced based on the result of this study.
The length of right side pipes of pan flute with multi-pipes engraved in the Gilt-Bronze Incense Burner of Baekjae are longer than those of the left side. At the same time, arrangement of the pipes of the flute are straight. However, the reproduction instrument in 2005 was opposite, left pipes were longer than the right and the arrangement of the pipes were circle rather than straight.
Multi-pipe flute of the gilt-Bronze incense burner is so. So was not appeared in Baekjae documents, however, so has existed in both neighboring countries of Goguryo and later Balhae. By this reason, so of Baekjae might be called as so.
