성숙한 사랑에 관한 기독교(목회)적 돌봄 연구: 대상관계이론(Object-Relations Theory)과 하나님의 헤세드(Hesed)를 중심으로 (Study on Christian(Pastoral) Care concerning Mature Love: Focusing on Object-Relations Theory and God’s Hesed)

초록

신학과 심리학은 사랑이라는 중요한 공통된 주제를 가지는 학문으로서, 최근에는 사랑을 주제로 두 학문을 연결하여 탐구하는 연구의 필요성이 논의되고 있다. 이러한 필요성에 맞추어, 본 연구는 심리학적 관점에서 대상관계이론에서 제시하는 성숙한 사랑의 능력과 특성을 고찰하고, 실천신학적 관점에서는 하나님의 완전한 사랑, 헤세드와 그 사랑을 실천하는 여제자, 다비다에 대해 성찰함으로써, 성숙한 사랑에 대한 이해와 기독교(목회)적 돌봄에서 실천 가능한 방안을 모색한다. 따라서 본 연구의 목적은 기독교(목회)적 돌봄에서 치유와 회복을 돕는 성숙한 사랑의 능력과 특성을 신학적 성찰과 Kernberg, Klein, Winnicott, Mahler, Kohut의 대상관계이론을 종합적으로 분석하여 제안하고, 상담자의 역할과 개입을 제시함으로써, 기독교(목회)적 돌봄에서 성숙한 사랑의 실천과 적용을 돕기 위함이다. 연구방법은 신학과 심리학을 연계하는 실천신학 연구방법을 활용한다. 신학에서는 하나님의 사랑에 대해서 성찰하고, 심리학에서는 대상관계이론에서 사랑에 관한 문헌을 중심으로 고찰한다. 귀납적으로 얻은 연구의 결과는 기독교(목회)적 돌봄에서 적용하고 실천할 수 있는 제안들을 제시한다. 첫째, 대상관계이론의 관점에서, 모든 관계의 성숙한 사랑의 특성은 Klein과 Winnicott이 강조하는 ‘선함 제공’과, Winnicott, Mahler, Kohut이 강조하는 ‘자율성과 분리의 존중’ 이다. 또한 애정관계에 있어서, 성숙한 사랑의 특성은 Kernberg가 정의내린 ‘정상적인 이상화’를 지니며, 성숙한 사랑의 능력은 내적대상의 통합과 오이디푸스 갈등 극복과 관련이 있다. 더불어, 신학적 성찰을 통해서 하나님의 완전한 사랑, ‘헤세드’와 ‘헤세드’를 따르는 다비다의 실천에서 공통적으로 발견한 성숙한 사랑의 특성 역시, 아담과 하와, 그리고 다비다와 과부들이 감사를 경험하게 하는 ‘선함 제공’이다. 본 연구는 성숙한 사랑의 특성인, ‘선함 제공’은 죄책감과 수치심을 견딜 수 있도록 돕는 보상의 기회와 감사의 경험을 제공하는 것을 의미한다고 결론으로 제시한다. 둘째, 기독교(목회)적 돌봄에서 열 개의 적용 가능한 제안들을 상담사의 개입과 역할로서 제시하였으며, 상담사의 심리적, 영적인 평정심을 위한 꾸준한 훈련을 강조한다. 이와 같은 연구 결과는 신학과 심리학에서 공통적으로 중요한 성숙한 사랑에 대한 이해를 돕고, 이를 기독교(목회)적 돌봄에 적용함으로써 실천의 가능성을 논하고자 한다.

영어초록

Theology and psychology are disciplines that have an important common theme of love. Recently, the necessity of research that connects the two disciplines with the theme of love is being discussed. According to this necessity, this study examines the capacity and characteristics of mature love suggested by object-relations theory from a psychological point of view. And from a practical theological point of view, by reflecting on God’s love, ‘Hesed’ and his disciple, Tabitha who practiced God’s love, this study tries to understand mature love and seeks practical suggestions for Christian(Pastoral) care. The purpose of this study is to propose the capacity and characteristics of mature love to help healing and recovery in Christian(Pastoral) care by comprehensively analyzing the object-relations theory of Kernberg, Klein, Winnicott, Mahler, Kohut, and the theological reflections. Also, it is to suggest the counselor’s roles and interventions for the practice and application of mature love in Christian(Pastoral) care. As the research method, this study uses the practical theology research method that connects theology and psychology. In theology, we reflect on God’s love, and in psychology, we examine the literature related to love in object-relations theory. The results obtained inductively of this study present a few suggestions that can be applied and practiced in Christian (Pastoral) care. First, from the perspective of object-relations theory, the characteristic of mature love in all human relationships contains ‘providing goodness’ emphasized by Klein and Winnicott, and ‘respecting autonomy and separation’ emphasized by Winnicott, Mahler, and Kohut. In addition, in couple relationships, the characteristic of mature love has ‘normal idealization’ defined by Kernberg and the ability of mature love is related to the integration of internal objects and overcoming an Oedipus complex. Moreover, through theological reflections, the characteristic of mature love commonly found in God’s love, ‘Hesed’ and the practice of Tabitha following ‘Hesed’ is also ‘providing goodness’ that allows Adam, Eve, and Tabitha’s widows to experience gratitude. This study concludes that as the characteristic of mature love, ‘providing goodness’ means providing an experience of gratitude and an opportunity for rewards to help one endure guilt and shame. Second, in Christian(Pastoral) care, fourteen applicable suggestions were presented as the counselor’s interventions and roles emphasizing constant training for the psychological and spiritual equilibrium. The results of this study facilitate the understanding of mature love, which is important in both theology and psychology, and discuss the possibility of practice by applying mature love to Christian(Pastoral) care.
