평화통일신학의 형성과 과제: 하나님나라 신학의 빛에서 (A Study on the Theology of Peaceful Reunification in light of Kingdom of God Theology)

초록

본 논문은 하나님나라 신학의 빛에서 평화통일신학의 근거와 성격 및 원리와 이념을 분석하고 그 실천적 과제를 탐구하는 것이다. 평화통일은 우리 시대에 주어진 한국교회의 민족적·역사적 사명이다. 동시에 하나님나라의 통치 실현이라는 궁극적 가치에 부합되는 것이다. 한민족의 통일은 배타적 민족주의를 지향하지 않으며 동북아와 세계의 평화에 이바지하는 길이다. 그런 의미에서 하나님나라 신학으로서의 평화통일신학은 비록 한국교회 상황에서 태동되고 발전된 신학적 운동이지만, 더 나아가 세계교회와의 연대와 협력을 통해 전개해가야 할 과제를 지닌다. 민족분단의 현실로부터 야기되는 비인간화, 비민주화, 정치적 억압, 경제적 불평등, 사회적 차별, 생태계의 파괴 등을 고려할 때 통일에 대한 무관심과 냉담은 하나님과 민족 앞에 죄악이다. 평화통일신학은 통일의 방법과 과정 및 궁극적 목표를 평화로 규정하며 그 어떤 폭력을 사용하는 것도 반대한다. 민족공동체의 치유와 회복은 참회와 용서의 과정을 통해 이루어질 수 있으며 화해는 참회와 용서의 신학을 전제한다. 이런 의미에서 평화통일신학의 이념은 정의로운 평화와 화해와 치유 및 용서, 이웃사랑과 원수사랑 그리고 생명공동체이다. 한국교회는 한반도의 평화와 치유와 화해와 통일을 향한 행동에 참여해야 한다. 정전협정 62주년을 맞이하는 2015년 본 논문이 평화통일운동의 신학적 근거를 제시하고 평화통일신학 형성을 위한 방향을 제안함으로써 신학의 공적·역사적 책임을 수행하고자 한다.

영어초록

This paper explores the nature, foundation, the principles,and the practical issues regarding the theology of peacefulreunification in light of kingdom of God theology. Thetheology of peaceful reunification is the national-historicalmission assigned to the Korean church of our time.
Simultaneously, it corresponds to the ultimate value referredto as the realization of the sovereignty of the kingdom ofGod. The reunification of the Korean people does not supportexclusive nationalism and contributes to peace in NortheastAsia and the world. In this respect, although the theologyof peaceful reunification as a theology of the kingdom ofGod is a theological movement quickened and developedin the context of the Korean church, it bears the further task of continuing to progress and expand through solidarity and collaboration with the world church.
Considering the dehumanization, anti-democratization, political oppression, economic disparity, social discrimination, destruction of ecosystems, etc. which arise out of the reality of national division, indifference and apathy with regard to reunification constitute sin before both God and people. Theology of peaceful reunification prescribes the method, process, and ultimate objective of reunification as peace, and opposes any and all use of violence. The healing and restoration of the national community becomes possible through the process of repentance and forgiveness, and reconciliation presupposes a theology of repentance and forgiveness. For this reason, the ideas behind the theology of peaceful reunification comprise just peace, reconciliation, healing and forgiveness, love of neighbors and enemies, and life community. The Korean church must participate in the action toward the peace, healing, reconciliation, and reunification of the Korean peninsula. In this year 2015, the 62nd year of the Korean Armistice Agreement, this paper seeks to fulfill its public and historical responsibility by presenting a theological basis for a peaceful reunification movement and by proposing a direction for the formation of a peaceful reunification theology.
