뉴커머 재일한상과 세계한상대회- 참여 경험, 성과, 발전 방안을 중심으로 (New Comers Residing in Japan and World Korean Business Convention- Focusing on Participation Experience, Performance, Development Plan)

초록

이 논문은 뉴커머 재일한상을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시한 후, 세계한상대회 참여 경험, 성과, 발전 방안을 분석하였다. 연구 분석 결과, 첫째, 세계한상대회 참여 경험에서 참가 목적은 인적 네트워크의 구축, 가장 선호하는 프로그램은 기업전시회로 나타났다. 둘째, 대회의 참여성과를 보면 재외동포재단의 대회 네트워크 구축 노력, 비즈니스 정보획득, 한상대회 홍보, 프로그램에 대한 만족도는 50% 이상이 긍정적으로 답하였다. 참가목적 또는 비즈니스 성과에 대한 만족, 네트워크 구축에 도움이 되었음, 밍글링 만족도는 40%의 빈도, 그리고 적합한 파트너 만남은 10명 중 3명이 긍정적으로 응답하였다. 셋째, 세계한상대회의 발전 방안과 관련하여 다양한 기업 참가와 전시품 진열, 성과 유발을 위한 기업 매칭, 개최지의 전 세계 확대, 참가업체의 사전 정보 제공, 1:1 비즈니스미팅의 취소 금지, 대회 활성화를 위한 민간기구 및 정부 지원, 운영 준비의 철저, 신규 세미나 개설 등은 10명 중 5명 정도가 동의한 반면에 회의에서 전문 통역의 필요성에 대해 30% 정도가 긍정적으로 답하였다.
본 연구의 정책적 시사점은 첫째, 국내 기업인과 재외한상의 적합한 매칭 어려움에 대한 보완책을 준비하여 많은 한상들의 대회 참여를 유인해야 한다. 둘째, 뉴커머 재일한상들은 참여업체의 사전 정보 제공 미흡에 불만을 갖고 있었다. 재외동포재단은 매년 홈페이지를 통해 참가 기업의 사전정보를 제공하고 있다는 점에서 응답자의 대회 운영 시스템에 대한 이해도가 낮았다. 주최측은 대회 운영의 전반에 대한 홍보에 치중해야 한다. 셋째, 뉴커머 재일한상들은 세계한상대회의 개최지를 전 세계로 확대하자고 주장하였다. 대회의 한국 개최는 중소기업 제품의 수출 및 재외한상들의 모국 투자의 촉진과 관계되어 있다는 점에서 기본 취지에 부적합하다.

영어초록

This study investigated the experiences, accomplishments, and development plans of participating in the World Korean Business Convention by conducting a questionnaire survey on newcomers residing in Japan.
First, the experience and the purpose of the participation in the World Korean Business Convention was to establish a human network, and the most preferred program was an enterprise exhibition. Second, more than 50% of respondents answered positively about the efforts of the establishment of the convention network of the Overseas Koreans Foundation, business information acquisition, Korean Business Convention promotion, the satisfaction of the program. Satisfaction with the purpose of participation or business performance, effectiveness in network establishment, 40% frequency of mingling satisfaction and three out of ten respondents answered positively about the meeting with the right partner. Third, as for the development measures of the World Korean Business Convention, about 5 out of 10 agreed about participation in various companies and exhibition display, matching companies for performance inducement, enlarging the venue worldwide, providing advance information of participating companies, prohibiting cancellation of 1:1 business meeting, support for private organizations and government to revitalize the competition, thorough preparation for operation, opening of new seminar and etc. On the other hand, about 30% answered positively about the necessity of professional interpretation at the meeting.
The policy implications are as follows: first, it is necessary to prepare a supplementary plan for overcome the matching difficulties of domestic and overseas businessmen and to induce the participation of many Korean companies in the business convention. Second, the newcomers in Japan were dissatisfied with the lack of prior information provided by participating companies. Since the Overseas Koreans Foundation provides preliminary information of participating companies through the homepage every year, respondents' understanding of the convention's operating system was low. The organizer should focus on promoting the overall operation of the competition. Third, the newcomers suggested that the host of the World Korean Business Convention should be extended to the whole world. The hosting of the competition in Korea is inappropriate for its purpose, as it is related to the export of small and medium enterprises' products and the promotion of overseas Korean companies' home country investment.
