    초록

    The language is one of the most important aspects in human cognitive activity, contents that language is made up by humans is based. In order to study the language for that is being studied cognitive activities of the human beings, which is in a position of cognitive linguistics is that to understand the language on the basis of the research.
    Therefore, the present study I would like to consider the idiom meaning the formation of the aspects of the involved with the visual of such both languages from the standpoint Japanese and Korean of cognitive linguistics, Korean [눈] and associated with [目] of Japanese the idiom that was to research the subject. In addition also again summarized the definition of the idiom in this study, for the metaphor of a process that seems to be involved in the meaning of the formation of the idiom was to follow the definition of Momiyama Fukada (2003).
    A result of the discussion, idiom that contains the "eyes" of the Japanese 162 clause, examined idiom that contains the "눈" of Korean 83 clause, towards the Japanese of "eyes" is double It was found to be nearly widely used.For the metaphor of mechanism, further involved, meaning formation by metonymy was seen many in both languages both. This seems to be different than the one in the case of study of polysemic word were observed many meanings extension by metaphor.There are a few other, but, it was confirmed also idiom metaphor and metonymy are involved together.
    These results, meaning the formation of idioms that are involved with vision was found to be more of the idiom of the Japanese is active than the idiom of the Korean. And involved in that metaphor of the mechanism it has been also found metonymy that is often seen in both languages both. More universal feature is likely to be confirmed in the sense the formation of the idiom by to expand the study from now.
