초록

본 연구는 전 세계에서 주목받으며 성장하고 있는 오순절/은사주의운동의 역사적, 신학적 배경을 살펴본다. 몇 십 년 동안 오순절/은사주의 진영은 신학이 없다고 비판을 받아왔다. 그러나 최근 한국이나 다른 나라에서 조차도 풍부하고 다양한 신학이 나타나고 있다.
성령세례는 오순절/은사주의 신학의 중심축이다. 그러므로 오순절과 은사주의 신학연구에 있어서 성령연구는 반드시 신학적으로 서로 비교되어 정의될 필요성이 있다. 그러나 두 운동 사이에 많은 유사성과 차이점 때문에 성령세례와 관한 비교연구는 연구하는 데 많은 어려움이 있어 왔다. 게다가 성령세례에 관한 오순절과 은사주의의 두 가지 다른 의견은 성령충만에 있어서도 다른 의견들을 만들어냈다. 오순절주의자들은 성령을 받아들이는 것은 단순한 오순절 사건으로 본 반면에 은사주의와 복음주의자들은 성령을 받아들이는 것은 새로운 능력을 얻는 것을 포함한 중생으로 보았다. 본 연구는 오순절과 은사주의 내의 다양한 신학적 견해, 즉 성령론, 성령세례, 방언, 여러 가지 은사, 중생, 성화 등을 살펴보고 오순절/은사주의 세계화 속에서 다양한 나라의 오순절과 은사주의 운동의 기원, 그리고 그것들의 신학도 함께 살펴보고자 한다.
선교학적으로 만일 ‘주류’라는 것을 숫자로 정의한다면, 오순절주의는 개신교가 이미 로마 가톨릭과 이슬람에 내놓은 가장 중요한 대안이다. 오순절주의는 한 때 주류였던 개신교 그룹들을 갓길로 몰아내고 대신 자신이 주류 자리를 차지했다. 일부 기독교인들은 오순절운동을 좋아하지 않았음에도 불구하고 그들이 오순절운동의 신자수를 더 파악하게 되면서 전 세계에 걸쳐 기독교에 커다란 변혁이 일어나고 있음을 깨닫게 되었으며, 그 결과 기독교세계는 오순절주의를 진지하게 받아들이게 되었다. 오순절주의는 이토록 미래의 기독교에서 점점 더 중요하게 살펴보아야 할 주제가 되었다.
마지막으로, 우리는 전 세계적으로 오순절운동이 다른 종교운동과 마찬가지로 수많은 분열과 변형에도 불구하고, 무엇이 그들로 하여금 그토록 경이적으로 성장하는 종교운동이 되게 하였는지 고려해봐야 할 것이다.

This research explores the theological and historical background of Pentecostalism(include Charismatic) and its complicated growth in practically every country of the world.
even few decades, Pentecostal and Charismatic side judged as ‘having no theology’, however it is now clear that Pentecostals have created rich and varied theological discourse that can be adapted as easily to Korean condition as to other part of the world.
Baptism in or with the Holy spirit is central to the Pentecostal and charismatic movement. therefore an analysis of between two movement must be compare and define. however two movements had many similarity and differences. as a result, It is very difficult job for theological research.

moreover, Spirit Baptism have two different views among the Pentecostal. an Charismatic. and its continue to make other different views about full(fill) of the Holy Spirit Pentecostals believed of the received Holy Spirit is that means simply Pentecost on the other hand Charismatics refer to empowerment(include many evangelical)and new birth.
This research also investigated many differences type of Pentecostal theology of the Holy Spirit, Spirit Baptism, Tongue, Spiritual Gifts, Regeneration, Sanctification and so on. researcher want to discusses the development of Pentecostal and Charismatic Christianity in the different countries from its origins at the beginning of he twentieth century to its theological emphases in the present, together with the impact of the process of globalization.
Missiologically, if ‘mainline church’ is defined numerically, Pentecostalism is already the most significant Christian alternative to Roman Catholicism and Islam. It has displaced to the sidelines those Protestant groupings that once saw themselves as mainline.
Although, some christians do not like Pentecostal-phenomena. Yet the more perceptive of their number have realized that a massive transformation in global Christianity is taking place, and urged their fellows to take the movement seriously. Pentecostalism is poised to become an increasingly important element in the Christianity of the future. finally we have to consider that why did pentecostalism, in all its variants and subdivisions, so quickly become such as enormously successful religious movement in the world?
