唐 前期 弘農華陰 楊氏의 變化와 特徵 (The Changes and Characteristics of Hongnong-Hwaeum Yang(弘農華陰 楊氏) in the Early Tang Dynasty)

초록

Hongnong-Hwaeum Yang(弘農華陰 楊氏), part of the Guan-Long Clique(關隴集團), holds a significant position in research on the transitional period between Sui-Tang dynasties as both imperial family of the Sui Dynasty(隋) and one of major maternal relatives' families in the early Tang dynasty(唐). However, almost no integrated research has been carried out on them, though there have been individual studies on some figures. This study examined representative figures of the Hongnong-Hwaeum(弘農華陰) family in the early Tang dynasty to grasp the trend of Yang's forces, which provided a look into the changes and characteristics of the Tang dynasty.
First, Chinese dynasties after Zhou Tai(周代) supervised previous dynasties' descendants through the ritual institution called ‘Yi-wang-huo(二王後)’. Now, domestic academic circle see Yi-wang-huo(二王後) as a system to monitor previous dynasties' descendants. However, unlike other Yi-wang-huo forces, Yang's clan of the Sui Dynasty held significant positions as political forces in the early Tang dynasty. This means that the Tang dynasty had more special meaning for the Sui dynasty which was very similar to the Tong dynasty in terms of internal structures of imperial family or the nation. Through Yang's clan of the Sui Dynasty, the Tang dynasty wanted to secure its own justification and a political basis.
Second, focusing the Yang Kung-jen(楊恭仁) family ranging from Kao-tsu(高祖) to Hsüan-tsung(玄宗), Yang were often related to the imperial family of Tang Dynasty by marriage. A look into the early the Tang dynasty revealed marriage relationships had a significant political meaning. Therefore, the Yang clan held major political positions in the early Tang dynasty as both marriage partners of the imperial family and maternal relatives' family.
Third, Hongnong Yang's clan(弘農 楊氏) were a representative aristocratic family of Guan-Lon(關隴) in Wei-Chin-Sui-Tang Periods(魏晋隋唐時期) and the Sui Dynasty originated from 8 Zhu-guo 12 senior generals(8柱國 12大將軍), the critical forces of the Guan-Long Clique. The Guan-Long Clique had increasingly became disintegrated while the Tang Dynasty became bureaucratized. The changes of Hongnong-Hwaeum Yang between the early and late Tang dynasty can be considered to show the changes of the Guan-Long Cliqu.
The study examined the changing patterns of figures of three representative families closely related to the Sui dynasty, Yang Kung-jen(楊恭仁)․Yang Hung-li(楊弘禮)․Yang Shen-ch'in(楊愼矜). As the imperial family, maternal relatives, or part of leading political forces, they well reflect the changes and characteristics of the Tang Dynasty' s politics.
