초록

Este trabalho procura explicações sobre o sentido genérico de nomes à posição de argumento interno dos predicados temporais e permanentes baseado na teoria desenvolvida nos estudos precedentes relacionados com interpretações de nomes sem determinantes à posição de argumento externo segundo os quais nomes podem expressar o sentido genérico em virtude da sua natureza como um conjunto de propriedades como uma soma de todos os membros individuais. Essas duas noções básicas são aplicáveis aos argumentos internos de predicados permanentes. Como o conceito genérico é incompatível com a temporalidade, os nomes aparecem em posições de argumento interno de predicados temporais não devem ter o sentido genérico em qualquer contexto independente de suas formas e seus tipos de nomes. Em vez de modificar ou negar a ideia desenvolvida precedentemente, vou introduzir dois fatores do tempo e do espaço afim de ajustá-la para que o sentido genérico se transforme no sentido existencial. Se a totalidade é delimitada num tempo dado e num espaço dado, ela não passa de uma subparte da totalidade absoluta. Se a relação entre a forma e o sentido de nomes em posições de argumento externos é absoluta, ela em posições de argumento interno é relativa e determinada pelo tempo dado e pelo espaço dado.

영어초록

This paper goes to see whether the earlier research concerning on forms and meaning of bare nouns in external argument position is also capable of classifying forms and meaning of bare nouns in internal argument position. As changing structural position is not possible at LF or does not affect any structural difference if any, the relation between forms and meaning of bare nouns in internal argument position should be traced at syntactic level. A noun bears, by its nature, generic meaning as a set of features, considered as a substance. And it can represent a concrete individual element as an object. A noun can represent generic meaning with bare singular nouns when the concept of feature set is applied. Otherwise, plural bare nouns are used for generic meaning through the concept of summing up all individual objects. In this paper, it is believed that these two basic notions are also capable of defining the relation between forms and meaning of bare nouns in internal argument position with small additional conditions without modification of essentials. It is possible to explain bearing generic meaning of bare nouns and others that occupies internal argument position not only in individual-level but also in stage-level predicates Introducing some a notion of confinement ain sens of time and space. In Short, generic meaning of all forms of nouns in internal argument position of stage-level predicate refer, in fact, the all members of a given noun at the given time and at the given space. if time and space are not confined, any forms of nouns, including bare nouns, cannot bear generic meaning in stage-level predicates. From all discussion done in this study, the theory developed for explain the relation between forms and meaning of bare nouns in external argument position is also applicable to explain meaning and forms of nouns appearing at internal argument position both of stage-level and individual-level predicates.
