『天倪錄』 소재 異人談의 양상과 그 의미 (A study on aspects and meanings of outstanding stature(異人譚) in 『Cheonyerok』)

초록

This study examined the aspects and symbolical meanings of outstanding stature(異人譚) in 『Cheonyerok』.
Many extraordinary man such as Shen-Shun(神仙), High priest(高僧), Geosa(居士), Warrior(武士) and Seon-bi(神仙) who have mysterious ability appear in Outstanding stature(異人譚) of 『Cheonyerok』. This study divided Shen-Shun style outstanding person(神仙形異人) from Ordinary style outstanding person (凡人形異人) according to existence aspects in outstanding stature. Shen-Shun style outstanding person are people who was exiled to human world after commit crime in fairyland, and Ordinary style outstanding person are people who was born as a ordinary human, but have mysterious ability.
As a result of examination of outstanding stature, it assumed many aspects as follow. First, the birth of outstanding person are same as ordinary people. Of course, there are some Shen-Shun came from a fairyland, but they also were seen as ordinary people or not as good as. Second, they live as a common man rather than showing their ability aggressively. They only tided over the crisis beside their family or neighborhood, but they didn't act like a hero, neither have heroism.
Outstanding stature in 『Cheonyerok』 contains wound, the way of realistic conduct of life and pride as a eastern people(東方民). Loosing a battle in Byongja-Horan gave shock to the whole nation of Chosun Dynasty. They experienced inferiority of power against China, and realized that it's impossible to overcome China with force. Through this experience they focus on the way of conduct of life, and try to find the way of realistic conduct of life. As the way of conduct of life was considered as the art of living, outstanding person became a target of admiration. Furthermore, it shows Chosun Dynasty is still strong country which has outstanding people through the outstanding stature even though the absolute power was week.
Chosun Dynasty outstanding man live as a figure of ordinary people or not as good as ordinary people in street market even though they have marvelous ability, it shows the national pride as a human strong country in outstanding hills and water by writing marvelous ability of the people look normal.
This study considered the meaning contained in mysterious story with priority given to outstanding stature in 『Cheonyerok』. Bang Lim wrote 『Soochonmanrok』, and there are some Siwha motived prophecy as a mysterious subject matter. It is considered that it's worthy to study the interest about the mystery written by Bang Lim in the circumstances of social connection, it remains as next study.
