본 연구는 볼프하르트 판넨베르크의 신학의 변증 신학적 특성을 전기적, 체계적 관점에서 고찰하여 그의 신학이 변증학적 논의의 대상임을 증명하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위한 첫 번째 과제는 한편으로 무신론자였던 그의 회심과 무신론에 마주하여 기독교 교리 진리를 주장하고 기독교 신 개념을 형성하는 그의 신학의 동기의 연관성을 다른 한편으로그의 신학 안에 변증학의 잠정적 역할과 그의 종교사 신학과 조직 신학안에 그 위치를 검토함으로써 다음의 두 가지 명제를 증명하는 것이다: 1) 전기적 관점에서, 무신론자였던 그가 기독교로 회심하게 된 동기는그의 신학 형성의 동기와 일치한다. 2) 체계적 관점에서, 그의 변증학의신학적 비중은 다른 어떤 기독교 변증학자들의 변증학보다 크다. 두 번째 과제는 이 명제를 라비 재커라이어스, 알리스터 맥그래스, 윌리엄 레인 크레이그와 같은 현대 기독교 변증학자들과 비교하는 것인데, 이는그의 신학의 변증 신학적 특성을 더욱 강조한다. 이를 통해 본 연구의 전기적, 체계적 논증은 그 변증 신학적 특성에 대한 신학 개념적 논증의 개연성을 높이고 이에 대한 일관된 설명을 제공한다. 이를 바탕으로 현대변증학적 논의에 있어 그 변증 신학적 특성이 갖는 중요성을 증명한다. 이 점에서 심화 연구로서 신학 개념적 관점에서 그 변증 신학적 특성에 대해 세밀하게 고찰하는 연구는 그 변증 신학적 특성이 그의 신학 전체의 특징을 이룬다는 명제를 입증하고 그의 신학에 대한 변증학적 연구의 대명제 – 그의 신학은 “진정한 변증 신학”이다(볼프강 그레이브, 윤지훈) – 를 확립하는 데 큰 의의가 있다.

영어초록

This study aims to prove that Wolfhart Pannenberg’s theology is the subject of apologetic discussion by examining the apologetic theological characteristics of his theology from a biographic and systematic perspective. The first task for this is to attest the following two theses by investigating on the one hand the correlation between his conversion, who was an atheist, and the motives of his theology to assert the truth of Christian doctrine and to form the Christian concept of God in the face of atheism, on the other hand the provisional role of apologetics in his theology and its position in his theology of the history of religions and systematic theology: 1) From a biographic perspective, the motive of his conversion to Christianity, who was an atheist, coincides with that of the formation of his theology. 2) From a systematic perspective, the theological weight of his apologetics is greater than that of any other Christian apologists’ apologetics. The second task is to compare these theses with modern Christian apologists such as Ravi Zacharias, Alister Edgar McGrath, and William Lane Craig. This task further highlights the apologetic theological characteristics of his theology. Therethrough, the biographic and systematic arguments of this study enhance the probability of theological-conceptual arguments for its apologetic theological characteristics and provide consistent explanations for these. Based on this, they prove the importance of its apologetic theological characteristics to modern apologetic discussions. In this regard, as an In-depth study, a study examining its apologetic theological characteristics in detail from a theological-conceptual perspective is of great significance in verifying the thesis that its apologetic theological characteristics characterizes his whole theology and in establishing the main thesis of an apologetic study of his theology – his theology is “truly apologetic theology” (Wolfgang Greive, Jihoon Yoon).
