대화의 회고적 기능에서 살펴본 응답어 ‘네’ 연구 (The Study about the Responsive Words 'Ne' in the Backward Looking Function of the Conversation)

A conversation in each utterances is not organized individually but is realized in the relationship of lead-lag utterances. That is, speech act can be response about preceding speech act or preceding utterances which is about a next following speech act. A responsive word 'Ne' which is deal in this study is a response about preceding utterances which is done previously or a stimulation which is about a next following speech act. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to understand the pragmatic characteristics of 'Ne' as response speech on retrospective function for conversation and to type them, and on the ground of it, identify the type of preceding utterances which is done before responsive word 'Ne'. Also finding the uniformity of speech act chain is accomplished on the center of responsive word 'Ne' and establishing minimal dialogue which is accomplished on the center of it are points. The spoken language corpora of 167,964 words are aimed at and among them total responsive words of 2,104, 'Ne' are subjects. The pragmatic characters of responsive word 'Ne' are divided into two types according to the difference of intonation. Among total responsive words of 2,104, falling intonations are 1,934(96.03%) and raising intonations are 80(3.97%). The basic function of 'Ne' which has falling intonation expresses the mark of affirmative agreement, acceptance, and adaption respectively on the preceding utterances. In addition, 'Ne' which has falling intonation is in charge of response utterances, the function which allows the talking maintenance, the function of topic change, and the function of utterances termination. Also, speaker himself makes clear the boundary about his own utterances or takes charge of function which appears for emphasizing his contents of utterances. The responsive word 'Ne' which has a raising intonation is used as the mark of function about unidentification, fright, and reinquiry.
The prospective function in preceding utterances 'Ne' is examined for identifying the aspect of it according to the standard of DAMSL. Among utterances which are related 'Ne' of total responsive words, 2014, 'Ne' which are based on the interaction between speaker and listener are 1,976 except them, 38 examples, which are used as speaker-oriented, and the orders of frequencies in the lists are 'representative(70.44%) > directive (21.58%) > commissive(2.68%) > expressive(2.37%) > declaration(1.77%) > summons(1.16%).' The speech act chain is very universal on the ground of the act of communication and the part in the flows of conversations as essential element. This study established 3 types of speech act chain which is composed on the center of 'Ne' as basic model.
