초록

This article aims to investigate an English enterpriser Lord Nuffield 's management of the Morris motors automobile company and his entrepreneurial spirit and some fundamental managing rules and his donation activities for local peoples and towns of Oxfordshire.
According to this research, He was the successful businessman and the innovative entrepreneur because he managed to overcome some crisis and slump between the First World war and the Second World war. First of his achievements, Lord Nuffield also served to improve local economy of Oxford and Oxfordshire. He provided many jobs for local labours including the unskilled woman, black persons and various immigrants from the North and the Midland works. He fundamentally had adhered to an relationship of paternalism guiding labours by a kind of strict disciplines and regulations based on deferential relationship. Labours of Morris motors Co. had to accept Morris's rules in their works. Because it provided better working conditions and more wages to them than another companies. Secondly, He made contribution to the Automobile Industrial world of England by inventing and practicing some innovative policies such as small profits and quick returns, system of a standard price and the first introduction of the Ford system-the moving Assembly line in Britain.
Owing to another his public career, Lord Nuffield has been apprised a great donator and philanthropist who most of Englishman have been felt gratitude to him loved deeply and remembered him Because of his inestimable activities of donations. For long time, He gave regularly some donations to Oxford University and local society groups like local hospitals. He had donated about ￡30,000,000 to many local groups in his life. Acknowledged his activities, He had got the viscount in 1938 by the King. He continued to devote activities of donation and finally Nuffield Foundation was established in 1943. Nuffield Foundation has been developed to various charity events and it's teaching programs and supported beneficial researches and gives scholarships to some capable scholars in categories of medical, Education and agriculture departments and the public health and Social affairs. Nuffield foundation has been contributed to continue and strengthen the tradition of benefaction activities and to enlarge more systematic and professional benefactions far beyond Britain.
