산 순교자, 김윤찬 목사에 대한 ‘ACTS 신학공관(神學共觀)’에 따른 평가 (A Study of the Live Martyr, Rev. Kim Yoon-Chan from the Viewpoint of the ‘ACTS Theological Synoptic Movement’)

초록

김윤찬 목사는 주기철 목사나 손양원 목사처럼 널리 알려지지는 않은인물이다. 관심이 있는 사람들은 칼빈신학교와 관련하에 김윤찬을 언급할 정도이다. 하지만 한국교회의 역사 속에서 김윤찬의 위치는, 특히 한국장로교회 역사에 있어서 한 축이라 말 할 수 있다.
왜냐하면 김윤찬의 위치를 확인하지 않고는 한국 장로교 역사를 명백히 정리하는 것은 쉽지 않기 때문이다. 하지만 김윤찬 대한 연구물들은그다지 많지 않다. 이런 상황속에서 본 고는 ‘ACTS 신학공관(共觀)의 관점’에서 김윤찬에 대하여 평가하였다.
첫째, ‘ACTS 신학공관’의 ‘기독교의 중심 진리 운동’의 모습은 김윤찬의 ‘신사참배 거부’와 ‘공산주의 사상의 배격’에서 명백하게 찾아볼 수 있다.
둘째, ‘ACTS 신학공관’의 ‘바른 신학운동’에 비추어 볼 때 김윤찬은1959년 합동과 통합의 분리된 후 한국교회에 보수주의 신앙을 지키고, 보수 교단을 강화하는데 주역을 담당하였다.
셋째, ‘ACTS 신학공관’의 ‘참 신앙인 양육 운동’은 신학교 설립에 관한김윤찬의 역할에서 찾아 볼 수 있다. 김윤찬은 용산에 신학교 건물을 구입하는데 주도적인 역할을 했다. 또한 그의 제안과 총회의 허락으로 인해 칼빈신학교(현재 칼빈대학교)가 세워지게 되었다. 그는 총 33년을 칼빈신학교에 재직하면서 칼빈신학교 발전에지대한 공헌을 하였다.
넷째, ‘ACTS 신학공관’의 ‘교회 연합운동’에 비추어 볼 때 김윤찬은 분열된 장로교회의 합동을 위해서 그 역할을 잘 감당하였다. 결국고신과는 합동이 되었으나 통합측과는 합동하지 못하였다.
다섯째, 김윤찬의 ‘ACTS 신학공관’의 ‘교회 회복 운동’은 첫 피난민 교회인 ‘평양교회’ 설립과 ‘평안교회’의 출발에서 볼 수 있다. 이것은북한에 있었던 교회들이 남한에서의 회복을 의미하는 것이다.
이와같이 김윤찬은 ‘ACTS 신학공관(神學共觀)’에서 주창하고 있는 운동들을 그대로 그의 삶과 사역에서 미리 보여주었던 인물이었다. 결론적으로 ‘ACTS 신학공관’에서의 김윤찬에 대한 연구를 통하여 ‘ACTS 신학공관’의 중요성을 알 수 있다.

영어초록

Rev. Kim Yoon-Chan is not as widely known as Rev. Chu Ki-Cheol or Rev. Son Yang –Won. Those who are interested in him mention him only in his relationship to Calvin Theological Seminary. His position in the history of Korean churches, however, is like an axis, especially in the history of the Korean Presbyterian Church. Understanding Kim Yoon-Chan’s position is needed to survey the history of Korea Presbyterian Church.
Research on Kim Yoon-Chan is rare. For this reason, this article evaluates him from the viewpoint of the ‘Acts Theological Synoptic Movement.’ First, we can find the viewpoint of ‘Central Truth of Christianity Movement’ in the ‘ACTS Theological Synoptic Movement,’ in Kim Yoon-Chan’s resistance to Shintoism and rejection of communism.
Second, from the viewpoint of ‘Sound Theology Movement,’ in the ‘ACTS Theological Synoptic Movement,’ Kim’s made a significant role to protect the conservative faith and to strengthen the conservative denomination in Korean Church during the 1959 division of The Presbyterian Church in Korea (Hapdong) and The Presbyterian Church in Korea (Tonghap).
Third, we can see the viewpoint of ‘True Believer Nurturing Movement,’ in the ‘ACTS Theological Synoptic Movement’ in Kim’s role in the establishment of theological seminaries. He played a leading role in purchasing the seminary building in Yongsan, Seoul. Also, his proposal and the approval of the General Assembly Presbyterian Church in Korea have led to the establishing of the former Calvin Theological Seminary (now Calvin University). He served Calvin Theological Seminary for 33 years and made significant contribution to its growth.
Fourth, from the viewpoint of ‘Church Unity Movement,’ in the ‘ACTS Theological Synoptic Movement,’ we can positively evaluate Kim’s outstanding role in unification of the divided Presbyterian Church. Eventually, The Presbyterian Church in Korea and Koryo Presbyterian Church merged, even though their merge with the Tonghap Presbyterian Church has failed.
Fifth, we can see the viewpoint of ‘Church Renewal Movement.’ in the ‘ACTS Theological Synoptic Movement’ in his establishment of the Pyongyang Church, the first refugee church and PyoungAn Church in Republic of Korea.
The establishment of PyoungAn Church in Seoul was in fact restoration of the north Korean churches in South Korea.
In conclusion, with a study of the life of martyr Rev. Kim Yoon-Chan from the viewpoint of the ‘ACTS Theological Synoptic Movement,’ the importance of ACTS Theological Synoptic Movement can be acknowledged.
