민속지식의 취업 현장 활용을 위한 독일민속학계의 노력과 연구 (The Effort and Study of the German Folk Academia for the Use of the Employment Site of Folk Knowledge)

초록

본 연구는 민속학 전공학생 취업을 위한 특히 민속지식을 활용한 전공학생 취업을 위한 독일민속학계의 활동과 연구를 소개하기 위한 목적으로 작성되었다. 이를 위하여 본 연구에서는 먼저 1970년에 개최된 Falkenstein특별학술대회의 주요 내용을 소개하였다. 이 학술대회에서 전후(戰後) 독일민속학의 새로운 방향과 방법에 관하여 집중적으로 논의되었고 특히 민속지식을 문화 개념으로 분석하려는 논의가 진행되었다. 그리고 학술대회 여러 가지 논의는 전공학생들의 취업 방향과 방법에 대한 활동과 연구에도 영향을 주었다.
다음으로 전공학생의 취업에 관한 독일민속학계의 최초 논의였던 Münster학술대회를 소개하고 분석하였다. 본 학술대회는 ‘문화분석과 취업분야의 활용’이라는 주제로 1977년에 개최되었으며 민속학자, 전공학생 취업분야 전문가, 전공학생들의 취업에 관한 조사, 개별 민속학연구소의 취업과 관련된 교육 및 연구 등이 논의되었으며 본 연구에서는 이를 요약 정리하였다. 특히 본 연구에서는 Falkenstein학술대회에서 논의된 민속학의 새로운 연구 방향과 방법을 취업 분야에 활용하는 방식에 관심을 갖고 당시 학술대회의 논의 사항을 정리하였다.
세 번째로 전공학생들이 가장 많이 취업하였고 또한 선호하는 취업 분야인 박물관 분야에 전공학생을 취업시키기 위한 독일민속학회 그리고 Frankfurt대학 민속학연구소의 활동을 소개하였고 활동 유형과 목적 등을 분석하였다.
마지막으로 본 연구에서는 전공학생들의 취업을 위한 Tübingen대학 민속학연구소의 활동을 소개하고 그 특징을 분석하였다. 특히 본 연구소의 연구 방법을 바탕으로 이를 전공학생 취업을 위한 교육 및 연구 프로젝트의 특성을 기술하고 이를 분석하였다.
다만 본 연구가 주로 전공학생 취업을 위한 독일민속학계의 활동을 기술하는 수준에 머물고 있고, 구체적인 배경과 목적을 분석하는 소홀히 하였다는 비판받을 수 있다. 특히 민속지식의 대한 개념 규정 그리고 이에 대한 연구와 활용에 대한 논의가 부족하게 제시되었다. 이러한 한계에도 불구하고 본 연구는 전공학생들의 취업에 관한 활동을 요구받는 현재 한국대학의 인문학 분야 분과학문 연구자에게 일정 부분 시사점을 줄 수 있다고 판단된다.

영어초록

This study has been conducted with the purpose of introducing the activities and study of the German folk academia for the employment students majoring in folklore for the employment of such students particularly with the use of folk knowledge. To achieve this, this study has introduced the main content of the Falkenstein Special Symposium initially hosted in 1970. This symposium intensively discussed a new direction and method postwar German folklore, and particularly conducted a discussion analyzing the cultural concept of folk knowledge. Further, various discussions of the symposium affected the activities and study of the employment direction and method of the students.
Next, the first discussion of the German folk academic related to the employment of the students majoring in folklore, i.e., the Münster Symposium, was introduced and analyzed. This symposium was hosted in 1977 with the subject of ‘the use of the employment field and cultural analysis,’ and involved the education and study of folklorists, professionals in the field of employment for students majoring in folklore, research related to the employment of students majoring in folklore, and employment of individual folklore research laboratories. This study has summarized and analyzed such content. Particularly in this study, the discussions at the time of the symposium has been summarized and has taken the interest in the method of using a new research direction and method of folklore discussed in the Falkenstein Symposium in the field of employment.
Third, this study has introduced the activities of the folklore research laboratory of Frankfurt University, and the German Folklore Association so that students majoring in folklore may be employed in the field of museums, which is the preferred field of employment, and the most frequently employed area. Further, this study has analyzed the purpose and type of activities.
Lastly, this study has introduced and analyzed the activities of the folklore research laboratory of Tübingen University for the employment of the student majoring in folklore. The properties of education and research projects for the employment of students were particularly recorded and analyzed based on the method of research in this research laboratory.
However, the study may be criticized that the detailed background and purpose was slightly neglected and had maintained at the standard of mainly recording the activities of German folk academic for the employment of students majoring in folklore. The concept regulations with respect to folk knowledge and a lack of discussion in regard to research use thereof were proposed. Regardless of such restrictions, this study is determined to provide certain implications to researchers in the field of humanities in current Korean universities that are demanded to partake in activities related to the employment students.
