초록

본 연구는 눈부신 과학기술의 발전에 따라 성장하고 있는한국경호안전산업과 경호안전 관련 전문가를 양성하는 전문교육기관의 교과과정의 편성과 운영에 대한 연구이다.
21세기 현대인은 삶의 물질적인 풍요에 대한 욕구충족과더불어 삶의 질을 이야기하는 시대가 되었다. 인간의 행복은평화와 풍요로움에 좌우되지만 현대인의 안전문제에 대해서는 과학기술의 발달이 오히려 현대인의 삶의 토대를 위험사회로 몰아가고 있다.
이러한 위험사회의 불안요소를 관리하는 경찰과 같은 공적인 서비스는 이미 한계에 다다랐고 이에 대한 공백을 민간경호안전산업이 성장하여 메우고 있다. 이러한 경호안전수요의 증가에 따라 한국에서 경호안전산업의 성장은 괄목할만하나 양적인 성장에 비하여 질적인 서비스는 많은 문제점을 내포하고 있다.
전문인력양성과 경호안전산업의 체계적인 교육을 위하여1990년대 중반부터 대학에 개설되기 시작한 경호 관련학과는 이미 전국적으로 50여개 학교에 이르나 각각이 매우 상이한 교육과정으로 운영되고 있다. 더구나 상당수의 대학은경호학이 체육이나 레저 관련학과의 소속으로 운영되고 있으므로 새롭게 등장한 전문화된 경호안전서비스를 제공하기위한 전문인력의 양성에는 상당한 한계점을 노출하고 있다.
오늘날 경호안전산업에 새롭게 부각되는 민간군사기업, 안전관리교사, 민간조사업, 사이버보안, 산업보안 등 다양한 분야가 경호학의 범주에 편입되었으나 이에 부합하는 전문인력을 양성하기 위해서는 체계적인 교육과정에 대한 연구와교육프로그램은 미흡하다.
피상적으로 경호학은 다른 사람의 생명과 신체를 보호하기 위한 역동적인 활동이자 통합학문적 성격을 띠고 있기때문에 체육학과 연관성을 가지고 있으나 오늘날에는 현대과학기술의 접목으로 인하여 그 이상의 융합적인 교육과정을 필요로 한다.
오랫동안 다양한 매체에 의하여 형성된 경호에 대한 정형화된 선입관을 불식하기 위한 노력은 경호에 대한 학문적인영역의 논의부터 구체적으로 논의되어야 한다. 더불어 이러한 경호안전산업의 성장과 발전을 선도하고 방향을 제시할수 있는 경호학의 학문적 토대를 확고히 하여야 할 것이다.
오늘날 급변하는 시장 환경변화에 능동적으로 대처해 나가기 위해서 경호안전산업의 발전방향에 따라 세부 영역별수요를 파악하고 이에 대한 전문지식을 교육하기 위한 교육과정의 정립과 해당 산업분야와의 산학연계를 통한 현장학습 등을 지속적으로 확대하여 시장의 변화에 능동적으로 대처해 나가야한다.

영어초록

This research focuses on the security industry of Korea which is rapidly developing with the remarkable advancement in science and technology, and as well as organization and management of curriculum of specialized educational institute that trains professionals of security science.
The life of a modern man in the 21st century involves not only the fulfillment of material necessity but also improving the quality of life.
Although happiness of humans are determined by peace and prosperity, advancement of science and technology has threatened and driving the world into a dangerous and unsafe place.
Public services including the police that handles the unstable factors in the dangerous and unsafe society are already at its limit, and such limitations are currently being filled by private security service industries. The growth of security service industries due to the increase of demand in security services are noticeable. Although the quantity of service has significantly improved, quality is still lacking that demands addressing of numerous issues.
Security Science and affiliated studies began to be instituted across the nation in over fifty universities since the mid-1990s, designed for more systematic training of professionals and development of security service industry. However most of these programs are diverse and varying with different curricula. Moreover, most of these universities have security science studies as a subordinate program within the departments of physical education science or leisure studies. This exposes the limitation of the current education system of security science, creating difficulties to deliver specialized security service systems.
Today, newly highlighted areas of security service industries such as private military company, safety & security teachers, private investigators, and cyber and industrial securities, are adopted in the security science category. However, research and educational programs to develop more systematic curriculum to produce professionals in the field are nonetheless insufficient.
On the surface level, security science appears to have strong correlation with physical education since involves protection of life and safety of another human being. However, with the integration of modern technology, it is now at the point that demands more comprehensive and amalgamative curriculum.
As a part of an effort to eliminate any standardized stereotypes of executive protection from various mediums, security studies must take into consideration to bring the field into a legitimate area of academia through scholarly and concrete discussions. In addition, it should promote establishing academic foundation that could take the lead for the development and growth of security industry. To cope actively with the rapid changes in the market environment, security industry was improve and develop in a direction that can determine the needs of various domains. It will also need to improve and further develop the current curriculum by continuously expanding cooperation with other related and relevant industries through field studies.
